Emotional politics on Facebook. An exploratory study of Podemos’ discourse during the European election campaign 2014

The results of the European elections 2014 in Spain were characterized by the outstanding rise of a new party, Podemos, which obtained five seats in the European Parliament, despite being founded few months before the elections. The present study analyzes both the content and the presence of emotions in Podemos’ discourse on Facebook during the European electoral campaign. In particular, the affective content of both the party’s discourse and the comments of its followers will be analyzed through a pragmatic linguistic approach applied to a corpus of 163 posts and 215 followers’ comments. The present study analyzed the factor structure of Schwartz Value Survey (SVS; 46 items) and the personal life investment (PLI; 10 items) scale, as well as the mutual relations between these two measures. The 50-year-old participants (n = 217–224) were drawn from the ongoing Finnish Jyväskylä Longitudinal Study of Personal and Social Development. This study is aimed to validate the Italian version of the dependency-oriented and achievement-oriented psychological control scale (DAPCS), a self-report questionnaire designed to assess the adolescent’s perception of the two dimensions of psychological control. Se pretende conocer las estrategias de afrontamiento que utilizan los padres de niños con cáncer ante al reto que supone esta enfermedad. Identities of special needs education in the discourse of Finnish professors of the field

This article examines both the discourses upon which Finnish special needs education professors draw when speaking about their field, and the consequent identities for it. The research material consists of theme interviews with 10 professors of special needs education and is analysed from a socio-constructionist, discourse analytical perspective. The results show that the professors defined special needs education from two separate viewpoints: on the basis of their own personal views, or on the basis of the classical definitions of special needs education. 09026; Suite à l'« explosion » des effectifs universitaires, de nombreuses antennes ont vu le jour à la fin des années 1980. Il convient maintenant d'évaluer leurs effets sur les parcours étudiants. Notre recherche porte sur la filière AES au sein de l'université de Bourgogne. Dans cet article, nous comparerons successivement le recrutement, la réussite en DEUG et le parcours ultérieur des étudiants de l'antenne du Creusot par rapport à ceux de l'université centrale de Dijon. Nous verrons que l'antenne permet une ouverture sociale au niveau du recrutement, que la réussite y est un peu meilleure et que les parcours ultérieurs ne diffèrent pas entre les deux publics étudiants.
