2014

Reflections on the uniquely human dimensions of behavior over the last few decades have become a meeting space connecting different sciences. The holistic health model emphasizes the subjectivity of man. Humans are open and active, and remain in relationships with others; they relate to the world they live in and seek meaning. Subjectivity in the psychological perspective can be described in three ways: subjectivity as identity, individuality, specific experience of self; subjectivity as the ability to initiate, regulate, direct, and realize goal-oriented and autonomous activity; subjectivity as the application of one’s own system of values. Subjectivity or causality (core features agency) …

Poética y Política sin Mundo

2018

The relationship between poetics and politics is fractured due to being in a world equally fractured, in crisis. The resulted split moves poetics and politics towards a so-called (and often sublimated) relationship between ethics and aesthetics. In fact, it seems that poeisis and politeia are learning to survive in a sterile and confine solitude. In the limits of a subjectivity bored by new ways of pressure, this article seeks to answer to this question: what are the options for creativity to become a new manner of communication and, most importantly, a critical link? The attempted answer will consider the current theoretical and practical circumstances of the relationship between poetics a…

Facilitating organisational learning through teamwork-based knowledge management: evidence from Spain

2015

[EN] In the context of organisational learning optimisation through knowledge management policies, it is essential to pay careful attention to teamwork design and dynamics. Having these ideas in mind, the aim of our paper is to empirically study whether a number of knowledge management policies related to team design and dynamics facilitate organisational learning processes across the different ontological levels (individual, group, and organisational-institutional). Hence, we propose a model linking teamwork-design based on knowledge management policies (including the sub-dimensions of team composition, team bonding, and team bridging) and organisational learning. We test this model in a s…

Technology Education in Finnish Comprehensive Schools

2011

Finnish technology education dates back to 1866 when craft education was accepted to be one of the compulsory subjects in the school curriculum. Uno Cygnaeus, founder of Finnish general education, considered ‘technological’ contents an important part of craft education. Cygnaeus emphasised dexterity, design and aesthetics but also consideration, innovation and creativity (Kantola, 1997). He also underlined the importance of realising the connections between natural sciences and craft education (Kantola et al., 1999).
