Pierwsza krucjata była z pewnością jednym z przełomowych wydarzeń europejskiego średniowiecza, a opowieści o niej ukształtowały kolejne pokolenia mieszkańców starego kontynentu. Jedną z takich opowieści są Gesta Francorum, w których znajdujemy ciągłą i zwartą narrację, obejmującą zarówno wydarzenia, które dziś ocenilibyśmy jako realistyczne, jak i wątki cudowne. Trans Justice Fights Trans Moral Panic

Between the summer of 2019 and the summer of 2021, a violent discussion about trans rights took place in Spain. This paper argues that the discussion can be understood as an instance of ‘social problems work’, more specifically as part of a moral crusade or a moral panic episode. Implicit in this is the idea that there has been an over-reaction to trans recognition and trans equality laws, publicly presented as a major social problem. This paper also provides legal arguments against the fears voiced in the discussion, by summarizing relevant ECHR case-law that agrees with an alternative feminist account of trans rights that de-pathologizes gender-identity self-determination. The Order of St. John always paid special attention to the publications documenting its military activities, in order to justify both its mission in defence of the faith and its requests to Christian princes for human and material resources. This editorial investment was particularly strong after the dramatic sieges of Rhodes (1480, 1522) and Malta (1565) by the Ottomans. From 1338 onwards, the inhabitants of late-medieval Valencia celebrated a feast every 9 October commemorating the entrance into the city of King James I’s forces on that day in 1238. It has been argued that this was essentially a spiritual display from its establishment in 1338 until the beginning of the fifteenth century. The present study delves deeper into the religious and political aims of the feast from its origins, framing the celebration within a broader Mediterranean context. En aquest article analitzem els mecanismes de la construcció del relat (oficial), des de diversos punts de vista, de la Croada contra els albigesos i l’expoli d’Occitània per França en el transcurs d’aqueixa cruel campanya militar (1r terç del segle XIII). Analitzarem dues fonts textuals que són testimonis d’excepció dels fets i de la construcció i la narració d’aqueix relat, a través de la mimesi historiogràfica en un cas, la Cançó de la Croada contra els albigesos, i, en l’altre, del formalisme d’un text jurídic (document històric, pròpiament dit) del més alt rang, el Tractat de Meux-París (1229), signat pels màxims representants de les dues contraparts.
