El objetivo del presente estudio consistió en examinar las diferencias en las funciones ejecutivas de inhibición y memoria de trabajo (MT) evaluadas en Educación Infantil entre sujetos con dificultades persistentes en el área de matemáticas en 2º de Educación Primaria y niños con un rendimiento adecuado. La muestra final del estudio estuvo conformada por 180 niños (inicialmente compuesta por 209 preescolares), de los cuales un 6.6% presentaron dificultades matemáticas persistentes (n = 12) y el 45.5% mostraron un rendimiento adecuado en ambas mediciones (n = 82). In the history of sainthood, cult and devotion, images play a role just as important as that played by relics. Being a representation of the saint that is portrayed, the holy image is an active presence, and the cult of the saint feeds on pictures whose creation comes from the need for the materialization of the sacred. Throughout the canonization process of Benedict the Moor (1594-1807) images were produced and listed, together with hagiographies, as an expression of the devotion for the Santo Negro. Las plantas mediterráneas, endémicas, de ámbito litoral sufren una fuerte presión antrópica, debido fundamentalmente al turismo y al gran desarrollo urbanístico que esto conlleva. Adicionalmente las plantas con una floración tan atractiva como está se ven amenazadas por las colectas incontroladas de los paseantes, que al arrancar sus flores impiden la fructificación y formación de semillas, con lo que impiden su propagación natural. Las plantas que han desarrollado una estrecha adaptación a un hábitat muy específico son normalmente muy vulnerables a los cambios ambientales que se produzcan en él. Muchas veces, no son capaces de colonizar otras zonas, y por ello sufren grave riesgo de desaparecer cuando se altera su hábitat natural. Development of herbicide-resistant varieties of foxtail millet

International audience; Developing herbicide resistance in forsaken small crops could be a way to maintain food and cultivation system diversity, otherwise they would disappear due to the impossibility or cost to control the weeds. This research focused on the pathways of development during the prelinguistic stage and from prelinguistic development to later language ability. The first goal was to follow and describe the development of several prelinguistic communication skills during the first two years of life (Studies I and II). AbstractChildren with neurodevelopmental disorders often have social-emotional and behavioural difficulties. The present study explored these difficulties in children (n = 50, aged 6–10 years) with autism spectrum disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder and developmental language disorder. Parents, teachers and therapists evaluated children’s social-emotional and behavioural difficulties through a self-devised questionnaire and the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire.
