A route to simple nonionic surfactants

AbstractA method for the synthesis of nonionic surfactants – N-alkyl-O-(2-hydroxyethyl) carbamates is proposed by acylation of fatty amines with ethylene carbonate without any solvent or catalyst. The surface tension of the prepared surfactants was measured, toxicity and biodegradability were determined for the surfactant with n-dodecyl as a hydrophobic group and N-monosubstituted amide and hydroxyl groups for their hydrophilic part.

Bakalaura darbā “Dabas aizsardzības telpu veidošanās Ķemeru Nacionālajā parkā 20.-21. gs.” tika noskaidrotas dabas aizsardzības teritoriju veidošanās īpatnības Ķemeru Nacionālajā parkā 20.-21. gs. Darbā tika aplūkotas tādas tēmas kā dabas aizsardzības ģeogrāfija, N. Trifta telpu koncepts, dabas aizsardzības ideju attīstība pasaulē un Latvijā. Pētījumā ir interpretētas dabas aizsardzības teritorijas, kā empīriskā, plūsmu, attēlu un vietas telpa. Viens no veidiem, kā nodrošināt tiesības uz labvēlīgu vidi, kuras ir nostiprinātas Latvijas Republikas Satversmes 115.pantā, ir izveidot īpaši aizsargājamas dabas teritorijas. Arī īpašuma tiesību aizsardzība ir nostiprināta Latvijas Republikas Satversmes 105.pantā. Šajā darbā ir analizēts šo abu konstitucionālo tiesību saturs un ietvars, un kā tās atspoguļojās īpaši aizsargājamu dabas teritoriju aizsargāšanā. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt, kā panākt tiesību uz īpašumu un tiesību dzīvot labvēlīgā vidē līdzsvaru un analizēt to regulējumu, lai noskaidrotu iespējamās problēmas un risinājumus. Safety evaluation of turbo roundabout with and without internal traffic separations considering autonomous vehicles operation
The paper presents a microsimulation approach for assessing the safety performance of turbo-roundabouts where Cooperative Autonomous Vehicles “CAVs” have been mixed with conventional vehicles “CVs”. Based on the analysis of vehicle trajectories from VISSIM and subsequent analysis of traffic conflicts through the Surrogate Safety Assessment Model (SSAM), the research aims to evaluate the safety benefits of turbo-roundabouts where the lanes are physically separated by raised curbs compared to roundabouts without curbs. Estimating traffic operations at multi-lane roundabouts: A case study

This paper addresses traffic modeling issues at urban multi-lane roundabouts where, despite circulating vehicles have priority, negotiation of the right-of-way can occur between antagonist traffic flows, as a result of minor drivers’ failing to obey the nominal operating rule (stop or yield control). Existing models for the estimation of operational performances have the shortcoming of not representing the interdependencies between entering and circulating vehicles at multi-lane roundabouts. Makrofītu sugu sastāva un sastopamības mainība dabiskos un regulētos upju posmos: Aģes upes piemērs

Bakalaura darba mērķis ir noskaidrot makrofītu sugu sastāva un sastopamības mainību dabiskos un regulētos Aģes upes posmos. Darbā veikti upes veģetācijas pētījumi 10 Aģes posmos, no kuriem 5 posmi ir regulēti, bet 5 dabiski; novērtēta upes posmu ekoloģiskā kvalitāte, izmantojot trofijas un sugu daudzveidības indeksus, kā arī noteikti makrofītu augšanu ietekmējošie vides faktori. Iegūtie rezultāti parāda, ka Aģes regulētajos posmos ūdens ekoloģiskā kvalitāte un makrofītu sugu daudzveidība ir zemāka salīdzinājumā ar upes dabiskajiem posmiem.
