Patoloģijas devona mugurkaulnieku fosīlijās no Ketleru svītas

Bakalaura darbā tika pētītas augšējā devona Ketleru svītas mugurkaulnieku fosīlijās sastopamās patoloģijas. Tika caurskatīta visa GM 290 kolekcija; autors piedalījies arī 2016. gada lauka darbos paleontoloģiskā materiāla papildināšanā Ketleru atsegumos. Tika veikta patoloģisko paraugu atlase un klasificēšana; detalizēti pētītas divu daivspurzivju sugu – Holoptycvhius sp. un Ventalepis ketleriensis Schultze zvīņas ar patoloģiju pazīmēm. Noteiktie bojājumi aprakstīti, veikta mikrofotogrāfiju un makrofotogrāfiju uzņemšana bojājumu atainošanai. Ingus Macata bakalaura darbs “Jaunā savādā žanra pazīmes Valērio Evandželisti “Eimeriha cikla” sākotnējā triloģijā”. Pētījumā izvirzīta hipotēze, ka Evandželisti romānu “Nikolass Eimerihs, inkvizitors”, “Eimeriha miesa un asinis” un “Eimeriha važas” raksturlielumi ļauj šos darbus klasificēt kā piederošus žanram jaunais savādais. Darbs ir sadalīts trīs nodaļās: pirmajā tiek aprakstīts jaunais savādais žanrs, otrajā tiek prezentēts Evandželisti un viņa darbi, kamēr trešajā nodaļā tiek analizēta Eimeriha cikla sākotnējās triloģijas un jaunā savādā žanra iespējamā saikne. Casein genes are highly polymorphic and the high degree of variability has qualitative and quantitative effects on milk composition thereby affecting chemical, physical and technological properties of goat milk. The aim of this work was to evaluate the genetic polymorphisms of the αs2-casein (CSN1S2) gene in the endangered Girgentana dairy goat breed in order to assess the genotypes distribution, as it is known genotype influences technological and nutritional milk properties. Mastitis is the most common and costly pathology affecting dairy animals. The identification of genetic markers that allow the inclusion of mastitis resistance in selection programs would help to reduce the costs due to the disease and the use of antibiotics.
