Bakalaura darbā “Latvijas Universitātes abonēto datubāžu lietošanas paradumi” tiek apskatīti LU SZF studentu datubāžu lietošanas paradumi un pētāmo datubāžu lietojamība. Bakalaura darbs balstās uz informācijas lietotāju uzvedības ekoloģisko teoriju un mijiedarbības trīs komponentu modeli, ar kura palīdzību iespējams aplūkot un noteikt datubāžu un to lietotāju savstarpēju mijiedarbību. Darbā tiek apskatīts un analizēts Latvijas atvērto datu portāls, tajā esošās datu kopas. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt Latvijas atvērto datu portālu un tā populārākās datu kopu kvalitāti. Darbā tiek apskatīts atvērto datu jēdziens, to kvalitātes analīzes un noteikšanas paņēmieni, kā arī sīkāk izpētīta informācija par Latvijas atvērto datu portālu, tā kvalitātes noteikšanu. Tāpat tiek veikts pētījums, kurā tiek noskaidrotas būtiskākās datu kvalitātes problēmas Latvijas atvērto datu portālā un tā saturošajās datu kopās.

Darbā “Telpas punktu mākoņa ieguve un apstrāde” tika pētīti dažādu telpas punktu mākoņu ieguves veidi un tālākā datu apstrāde. Darba ietvaros tika aplūkoti vairāki datu iegūšanas veidi, identificētas katra veida pielietojuma iespējas, priekšrocības,trūkumi un veikts uz eksperimentiem balstīts ātrdarbības novērtējums. Veikts dažādu pastāvošu risinājumu salīdzinājums. Aplūkoti galvenie datu pēcapstrādes virzieni, salīdzināti datu glabāšanas risinājumi un piedāvāts autora ieteikums punktu kvalitātes novērtēšanā. Application of GPS technology to measurements of displacements of high-rise structures due to weak winds

Abstract Global positioning systems (GPS) have been developed for military purposes like single-point positioning and navigation. The first non-military applications have been made for geodetic purposes with base-line measurements using differential methods. We introduce GPS technology as an alternative measurement method of displacements when high-rise structural systems are monitored. In this paper, two tests to evaluate the accuracy of the measurements using GPS are presented. Then the evaluation of ability of GPS to measure small movements of the Stuttgart TV-tower and the industrial chimney of Opole power station due to weak winds are also given.

Seasonal trend of Anisakidae infestation in South Mediterranean bluefish

A total of 1104 fish samples from markets of Sicily were analysed for the detection and species identification of Anisakidae nematodes. The preliminary analysis of the fish samples showed the presence of 2459 larvae. All the fish species revealed different prevalence of infestation, with a maximum of 100% for Lepidopus caudatus and a minimum of 4.5% in Sardina pilchardus. The 80% of the larvae examined by PCR-RFLP analysis belonged to Anisakis pegreffii species. The seasonal infestation trend of Anisakis was evaluated in all the fish sample examined. The Leonian (early Middle Cambrian) regional Stage of Iberia is revised from a lithostratigraphic and biostratigraphic point of view in order to propose it as a chronostratigraphic unit for the Mediterranean subprovince (outcrops in Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Morocco and Turkey). This revision now permits a correlation of the Leonian Stage with the other early Middle Cambrian regional Stages.
