Multispectral images are acquired using multispectral cameras equipped with CCD or CMOS sensors which sample the visible or near infrared spectrum according to specific spectral bands. A mosaic of multispectral MSFA filters is superimposed on the surface of the sensors to acquire a raw image called an MSFA image. In the MSFA image, only one spectral band is available per pixel, the demosaicking process is necessary to estimate the multispectral image at full spatio-spectral resolution. The intention of this paper is to show how Semiotic Textology, the theory elaborated by the Hungarian linguist János Sándor Petőfi, can be applied to a determinate case study. In order to perform this task, firstly the main aspects of the theoretical framework are presented and some specific aspects concerning the application to verbal texts are noted. Secondly an ancient text of Classical Greek Literature is analyzed within the above-mentioned framework. The text is the "On the Peace" speech (Περὶ τῆς Εἰρήνης) composed by the Attic orator Demosthenes. Discrete wavelet transform based multispectral filter array demosaicking

International audience; The idea of colour filter array may be adapted to multi-spectral image acquisition by integrating more filter types into the array, and developing associated demosaicking algorithms. Several methods employing discrete wavelet transform (DWT) have been proposed for CFA demosaicking. In this work, we put forward an extended use of DWT for mul-tispectral filter array demosaicking. The extension seemed straightforward, however we observed striking results. This work contributes to better understanding of the issue by demonstrating that spectral correlation and spatial resolution of the images exerts a crucial influence on the performance of DWT based demosaicking.

Abstract The Physics Demo Project at the University of Valencia ( www.uv.es/fisicademos ) has developed a collection of physics demonstrations to be used during lectures. It consists of more than 130 experimental demos about different physics topics. More than 30 professors borrow them whenever they lecture on physics in any of our 40 courses in 17 different science or technical degrees, involving 246 ECTS and more than 3500 students. Each demo kit with a simple experimental set displays a particular physics phenomenon. The results of the European elections 2014 in Spain were characterized by the outstanding rise of a new party, Podemos, which obtained five seats in the European Parliament, despite being founded few months before the elections. The present study analyzes both the content and the presence of emotions in Podemos’ discourse on Facebook during the European electoral campaign. In particular, the affective content of both the party’s discourse and the comments of its followers will be analyzed through a pragmatic linguistic approach applied to a corpus of 163 posts and 215 followers’ comments. Until recently, it was assumed that polarity and axis formation have evolved only in metazoan phyla higher than Cnidaria. One key molecule involved in the signal transduction causing tissue polarity is Frizzled, a seven-transmembrane receptor that is activated by the Wnt family of secreted proteins. We report the isolation and characterization of a Frizzled gene from the demosponge Suberites domuncula (Sd-Fz). The deduced polypeptide comprises all characteristic domains known from Frizzled receptors of higher metazoans.
