Lajintuntemustaidot ovat tärkeä bio- ja ympäristötieteiden alojen ammattilaisten osaamisalue. Lajintuntemuksella on myös merkitys osana laajempaa luonnontuntemusta, sillä esimerkiksi ekosysteemien rakenteen ja toiminnan ymmärtäminen ilman lajintuntemusta olisi hankalaa. W artykule przedstawiono możliwości zastosowania sztucznej sieci neuronowej w identyfikacji związków chemicznych metodą tzw. „odcisku palca” oraz opisano budowę opracowanego specjalnie do tego celu narzędzia z wykorzystaniem SSN, jak też sprecyzowano wymogi, jakie muszą być spełnione do jej poprawnego funkcjonowania.

This text is part of the author’s research on the literary culture of the nineteenth-century Upper Silesia. The author shows that at the forefront of modern Europe (at the beginning of industrialization and urbanization of the continent) the autochthon writers of Upper Silesia undertook actions aimed at fostering cultural awareness amongst their compatriots, who were considered to belong to a national minority, in order to instil patriotic feelings in them. In the current post-colonial discourse their struggles are recognized as the “voice of the periphery”. L'Estetica della Natura nel Trascendentalismo americano
La tesi ricostruisce la visione estetica dei padri del Trascendentalismo americano, Ralph Waldo Emerson ed Henry David Thoreau. L'analisi è incentrata sull'esperienza estetica della natura, intesa come via privilegiata di cui l'uomo dispone per la conoscenza di se stesso, attraverso "lo splendido labirinto delle percezioni" e delle forme naturali. La ricerca analizza i tre saggi principali sulla natura di Emerson, redatti in un periodo che va dal 1836 al 1844, e il capolavoro di Thoreau, Walden del 1854, che declina la ricerca del maestro Emerson in modo originale, concentrandosi sulla nozione di selvaggio.

Teachers’ occupational well-being in relation to teacher–student interactions at the lower secondary school level

This study investigated the relation between teachers’ occupational well-being and the quality of teacher–student interactions in lower secondary schools in Finland. Teachers (N = 48) self-rated their occupational well-being in terms of engagement, stress, job demands, and emotional exhaustion. Teacher–student interactions in classrooms were video-recorded and coded with the Classroom Assessment Scoring System. The results of multivariate regression analyses showed that teachers who reported higher work-related stress were observed with a lower quality of emotional support, classroom organization, and instructional support when controlling for background factors.
