A Grammar of Central Trentino

Central Trentino is a Romance dialect spoken in the North-East of Italy, which shows features belonging to both Gallo-Italic and Venetan dialects. Grammar of Central Trentino aims to present the first comprehensive grammatical description of this dialect, taking into consideration its morpho-syntactic properties and pragmatic phenomena. The book's general approach is synchronic and focused on the language currently in use. The authors discuss a wide range of examples gathered from both oral and written sources. The theoretical reference model is that of generative grammar, but the description of the phenomena is also accessible to a non-specialized audience.

Higher education teachers’ descriptions of their own learning: a quantitative perspective

In this large-scale study, higher education teachers’ (n = 1028) descriptions of their own learning are examined with quantitative analyses. The study follows up an earlier qualitative study that, using a phenomenographic approach, identified four different ways in which teachers at Finnish universities of applied sciences described their own learning. The purpose of the present study was to find out how teachers’ descriptions were divided into the categories formed in the previous study and to examine whether teachers’ descriptions of their learning differ according to their position, gender and age. Liikunnanopettajaksi vuosina 1984 - 2004 valmistuneiden työtyytyväisyys

Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvittää liikunnanopettajiksi vuosina 1984–2004 valmistuneiden työtyytyväisyyttä ja siihen vaikuttavia tekijöitä. Tutkimukseen osallistui yhteensä 621 liikunnanopettajan ammatissa toimivaa henkilöä (naisia 326, miehiä 295). Tutkimus suoritettiin strukturoiduilla kyselylomakkeilla vastavalmistuneille liikunnanopettajille vuonna 2008 sekä kokeneemmille liikunnanopettajille vuonna 2009. Tutkimusaineiston analysointiin käytettiin t-testiä sekä yksi- ja kaksisuuntaista varianssianalyysia. Brief description of the object of study The competition of the Palace of Justice in Rome takes place in four phases between 1884 and 1887. The project for the first competition in 1884 drawn up by the then very young Ernesto Basile (Palermo 1857-1932) reveals a great deal of design expertise that transforms the complex functional program into an austere building in neo-florentine style. The original drawings of the building not realized kept in the Basile Endowment of the Department of Architecture of the University of Palermo have been the subject of preliminary study to the phases of analysis interpretation and conceptual reconstruction of the digital model. 2. Based on an ethnographic approach, this paper explores how members of a new age spiritual movement known as ?Llave Mariana? (LLM) build and experience their bodies. At the same time, it develops a thick description of their ritual practices and later it analyzes, delving fundamentally into the phenomenological perspective, how these members shape and transform their forms of self-perception, experience, and representation of others and the environment.
