Discrete-time static output-feedback H<inf>∞</inf> controller design for vehicle suspensions

This paper provides a direct and practical presentation of a novel methodology for static output-feedback controller design. The proposed design strategy has been successfully applied in the fields of control systems for seismic protection of large buildings and multi-building structures, control of offshore wind turbines, and active control of vehicle suspensions. Robust fault-tolerant H∞ control of active suspension systems with finite-frequency constraint

Abstract In this paper, the robust fault-tolerant (FT) H ∞ control problem of active suspension systems with finite-frequency constraint is investigated. A full-car model is employed in the controller design such that the heave, pitch and roll motions can be simultaneously controlled. Both the actuator faults and external disturbances are considered in the controller synthesis. As the human body is more sensitive to the vertical vibration in 4–8 Hz, robust H ∞ control with this finite-frequency constraint is designed. Graph cut-based method for segmenting the left ventricle from MRI or echocardiographic images

International audience; In this paper, we present a fast and interactive graph cut method for 3D segmentation of the endocardial wall of the left ventricle (LV) adapted to work on two of the most widely used modalities: magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and echocardiography. Our method accounts for the fundamentally different nature of both modalities: 3D echocardiographic images have a low contrast, a poor signal-to-noise ratio and frequent signal drop, while MR images are more detailed but also cluttered and contain highly anisotropic voxels.
