Purpose To evaluate the effect of oral antioxidant supplementation (OAS) on primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) over a 2-year follow-up period. The decision process in forward-masked intensity discrimination: evidence from molecular analyses.

In a two-interval forced-choice intensity discrimination task presenting a fixed increment, the level of the forward masker in interval 1 and interval 2 was sampled independently from the same normal distribution on each trial. Mean and standard deviation of the distribution were varied. Correlational analyses of the trial-by-trial data revealed different decision strategies depending on the relation between mean masker level and standard level. If the two levels were identical, listeners tended to select the interval containing the higher-level masker, behaving like an energy detector at the output of a temporal window of integration. Background The Duke treadmill score, a widely used treadmill testing tool, is a weighted index combining exercise time or capacity, maximum ST-segment deviation and exercise-induced angina. No previous studies have investigated whether the Duke treadmill score and its individual components based on bicycle exercise testing predict cardiovascular death. : Clinical ocular motor syndromes were compared with ocular motor syndromes simulated by a mathematical model of the vestibuloocular reflex. The mathematical sensorimotor feedforward model of otolith control of three-dimensional binocular eye position is based on relevant anatomical connections of the vestibuloocular reflex from the utricles to extraocular eye muscles. Purpose: The objective of this study was to evaluate if the carrageenan may be used for limiting the mandibular movement. Material and Methods: Eighteen adult male Wistar rats were used for the research, 20 µl of carrageenan (4%) was infiltrated in the extra articular region, in front of the condyle to induce fibrosis. Study of the v3 = 1 State of 80SeF6 by Fourier Transform Spectroscopy

The Fourier transform infrared spectrum of monoisotopic 80SeF6 has been recorded in the 760-792 cm-1 region with an effective resolution of ca. 2.3 x 10(-3) cm-1. The 80SeF6 sample was prepared by burning monoisotopic 80Se powder (99.2%) in an excess of fluorine. The analysis of infrared transitions of the nu3 band enabled the determination of parameters of the Hamiltonian developed up to the third order and the fourth order. The standard deviation obtained is equal to 4 x 10(-4) cm-1 for the third-order development and 3.2 x 10(-4) cm-1 for the fourth-order development.
