The purpose of this study was to evaluate if the variations of heart magnetic resonance imaging in beta-thalassemia major patients treated with Deferoxamine B mesylate (DF) or Deferiprone (L1) chelation therapy is a useful tool of the indirect myocardial iron content determination. For this reason, a prospective study was carried out. Seventy-two consecutive patients with beta-thalassemia major (35 treated with DF and 37 with L1) were studied. Niniejszy tekst podejmuje temat niewykorzystanego potencjału nowych technologii informacyjnych w edukacji. Opisane zostały w nim wybrane stanowiska teoretyczne dotyczące społecznego i kulturowego wymiaru rozwoju technologicznego. Ponadto, opisano zaczerpnięte z praktyki edukacyjnej przykłady, ukazujące, jak traktowanie nowych technologii wyłącznie w wymiarze instrumentalnym przyczynia się do formułowania celów edukacji, które nie przystają do wyzwań stawianych współczesnemu człowiekowi przez rzeczywistość społeczną, w której żyje.

Maģistra darbā “Ārvalstu tiesību avotu izmantošana, piemērojot Latvijas tiesību normas” ir pētīts, kā Latvijas tiesu praksē, interpretējot tiesību normas un veicot tiesību tālākveidošanu, tiek izmantoti Latvijas tiesību sistēmā neietilpstoši tiesību avoti. Darbā izpētīta nepilnīgā Latvijas prakse ārvalstu tiesību avotu izmantošanā. Saskaņā ar vispārējās tiesību teorijas atziņām, kā arī salīdzinošās juridiskās argumentācijas praksi, darbā tiek formulēta un pierādīta metodoloģiski augstvērtīgāka pieeja. This paper sets out to chart underlying assumptions and fundamental axioms of an integrative research edifice for studying language and how it is developed over time as a human- and culture-centered and multifaceted phenomenon. Maahanmuuttajat työllistyvät Suomessa usein aluksi ammattitaitoaan ja koulutustaan vastaamattomiin sisääntuloammatteihin, joissa kielitaito- ja koulutusvaatimukset ovat vähäiset. Sisääntuloammatteja ei ole vielä tutkittu suomen kielen oppimisen kannalta. Pro gradu -tutkielmani käsittelee aihetta viiden siivousalalla työskentelevän afrikkalaisen maahanmuuttajan näkökulmasta. Tutkimuksen kohteena ovat heidän käsityksensä ja kokemuksensa suomen kielen oppimisesta yleisesti ja siivous- tai pesulatyössä.
