El reconocimiento de las distintas lenguas peninsulares tiene un lugar destacado en los paratextos del diccionario de John Stevens, A New Spanish and English Dictionary (1706). Estas ideas se relacionan con otras de obras británicas anteriores como la A Spanish Grammar de John Minsheu (1617) y el Lexicon Tetraglotton de James Howell (1660), que se originan en la Gramática de la lengua vulgar de España publicada en Lovaina (1559). Highlights • The Covid-19 pandemic is a rare opportunity to examine some fundamental aspects of IM and IS research and practice. • There are at least three areas where the pandemic has impacted practice: information management, work practices and design of technologies. • The IS discipline has appropriate methods and theories to study the design of technologies and social interactions. • Concepts such as “social distancing” that has emerged in the pandemic need to be studied through philosophical premises. • The IM practices that emerge after the pandemic is over, will be shaped by how well we seize the opportunity to learn from the pandemic.

This paper describes the cultural semantics of internet courses in American accent. Such courses are offered by corporate providers to specific groups of customers: people in search of success in the globalized business environment. The core of such courses is an order of indexicality which stresses uniformity and homogeneity, producing an invisible accent that replaces existing ‘foreign’ (i.e. authentic, biographic) accents. It is a new form of commodified dialectology, which differs quite substantially from common state and academic attitudes towards dialects and accents. In questo capitolo si illustrano le suddivisioni interne al gruppo ladino.
