Global analysis of the pMSSM in light of the Fermi GeV excess: prospects for the LHC Run-II and astroparticle experiments

We present a new global fit of the 19-dimensional phenomenological Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (pMSSM-19) that comply with all the latest experimental results from dark matter indirect, direct and accelerator dark matter searches. We show that the model provides a satisfactory explanation of the excess of gamma-rays from the Galactic centre observed by the Fermi~Large Area Telescope, assuming that it is produced by the annihilation of neutralinos in the Milky Way halo. We identify two regions that pass all the constraints: the first corresponds to neutralinos with a mass ~80-100 GeV annihilating into WW with a branching ratio of 95% ; the second to heavier neutralinos, with mass ~…

The aim of the article is to show how to list and develop phraseology in the oldest Polish dialect dictionary: A Dictionary of Polish Dialects by Jan Karłowicz, and then discuss the placement of phraseology in the macro- and microstructure of later, 20th century selected dialectal dictionaries. Therefore, the article is an overview of the tradition of lexical development and study of phraseology in dialectal dictionaries (on the example of Silesian Dialect Dictionary, Polish Dialects Dictionary by Polish Academy of Sciences, the dictionary of Bernard Sychta, Dictionary of Ostróda, Warmia and Mazury Dialects).

The aim of this article is to research the ways of developing phraseology and its emplacement into the macro- and microstructure in selected dialectal dictionaries (academic and popular). The first part is an overview of the phraseology, as included in introductions to the dictionaries. In the second part, using specific examples, the author discusses how the methodological and editorial assumptions adopted by dictionary authors/editors are followed in practice. Search for photonic signatures of gauge-mediated supersymmetry in 8TeV pp collisions with the ATLAS detector

A search is presented for photonic signatures motivated by generalized models of gauge-mediated supersymmetry breaking. This search makes use of 20.3 fb[superscript −1] of proton-proton collision data at √s = 8 TeV recorded by the ATLAS detector at the LHC, and explores models dominated by both strong and electroweak production of supersymmetric partner states. Four experimental signatures incorporating an isolated photon and significant missing transverse momentum are explored. These signatures include events with an additional photon, lepton, b-quark jet, or jet activity not associated with any specific underlying quark flavor. Characterization of the autoantigen La (SS-B) as a dsRNA unwinding enzyme

During the analysis of the La (SS-B) autoantigen for catalytic activities an ATP-dependent double-stranded RNA unwinding activity was detected. Both native and recombinant La proteins from different species displayed this activity, which could be inhibited by monospecific anti-La antibodies. La protein was able to melt dsRNA substrates with either two 3'-overhangs or a single 3'- and a 5'-overhang. Double-stranded RNAs with two 5'-overhangs were not unwound, indicating that at least one 3'-overhang is required for unwinding.
