Patterns of inter- and intra-regional differences in human capital and earnings : Evidence from Finland and Sweden 1987–2015

In this paper, we examine the long-term patterns of geographical disparities in human capital and income in Finland and Sweden over the period 1987–2015. Using nationwide longitudinal population register data, we analyze disparities at different spatial scales, between and within functional labor market regions determined by observed travel-to-work patterns. Contrary to the findings from many other developed economies indicating inter-regional divergence in per capita income, we find indications of inter-regional convergence in per capita earnings among the functional labor market regions in both countries after 2000. Pētījuma „Autobiogrāfisko atmiņu par laulību dzimumatšķirības pēc laulības šķiršanas” mērķis bija izpētīt autobiogrāfiskās atmiņas sievietēm un vīriešiem pēc laulības šķiršanas un atklāt, vai pastāv būtiskas atšķirības starp autobiogrāfiskajām atmiľām sievietēm un vīriešiem. Pētījumā piedalījās 60 respondenti, 30 sievietes un 30 vīrieši, kuriem ir šķirta laulība ar Latvijas Civillikuma Ģimenes tiesību daļas noteikumiem vai kuri ir laulības šķiršanas procesā, vecumā no 30 līdz 45 gadiem (M=38,13; SD= 4,47). The research examines the dynamics of bicultural couples in which one partner is autochthonous and the other is of foreign nationality. Two levels of analysis were considered: a macro level studying the identity of place in reference to the general social context and the residential neighbourhood, in particular; the second level refers to the dynamics of the couple and examines the strategies for managing differences between partners and the educational styles adopted in the presence of children. We present here the automatic processing chains implemented at the Global Change Unit of the University of Valencia. These allow for a near-real-time retrieval of various biophysical parameters from both Sun-synchronous TERRA/AQUA Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer MODIS and geostationary Meteosat Second Generation Spinning Enhanced Visible and Infrared Imager MSG SEVIRI sensors. Objective: To compare the disinfecting efficacy of the sodium hypochlorite irrigation by root canal preparation with stainless steel hand files, taper 0.02 and nickel-titanium Mtwo files with taper 0.04-0.06. Study Design: 40 extracted human teeth were sterilized, and then inoculated with Enterococcus faecalis (ATCC 29212). After 6 day incubation time the root canals were prepared by hand with K-files (n=20) and by engine-driven Mtwo files (VDW, Munich, Germany) (n=20).
