“One of the major aims of a politician is to gain the people’s allegiance, to have them believe that the decisions that are being made are the right ones” (Wilson 1990: 76). The basic idea is that the way we see the world, think about it and act on it, is largely determined by how we 'frame' it, and this in turn may be influenced by our choice of rhetorical device. Tässä työssä tutkittiin Yhdysvaltain Japanin suurlähetystön raportointia Yhdysvaltain ulkoministeriöön vuosina 1932–41, jolloin suurlähettiläänä toimi Joseph C. Grew. Päälähteenä tutkimuksessa olivat Wisconsin-Madisonin ja Illinoisin kirjastojen verkkosivuilta löytyvät suurlähetystöraportit ja vertailevana aineistona käytettiin joitakin artikkeleita The New York Timesista, sekä Foreign Affairs-lehdestä. Lo studio è incentrato sul significato e sulla funzione dei termini di parentela nelle relazioni diplomatiche greche per esprimere la presenza di legami particolarmente stretti tra città e popoli. The new curricula and their influence on the age of finalizing higher education. A case study of the University of Valencia

The present work analyzes the influence that the new curricula have on the age of finalization of the studies of students enrolled in the University of Valencia. It analyses to what extent the new curricula have facilitated the obtention of the degrees based on the age of conclusion of the studies:  the easier the studies, the younger the students finish, given that the age of commencement of their studies is substantially  the same as the ge of commencement of the previous curricula. This paper introduces which was the public sentiment and opinion of the Chinese journalists of the Shenbao in a very relevant period of the history of the relations between Italy and China. We know that China had had a very high opinion of Italy thanks to the magnificent portrait of ancient Italian society, art and culture made by the Jesuit missionaries. But in the selected historical moment, there was a strong change in the way Chinese people felt about the Italian presence in China.
