This paper intends to analyze the foreign policies and diplomatic exchanges of Portugal’s Estado Novo Regime and Apartheid South Africa. In order to fully research these subjects, a search was made in the Portuguese National Records (Torre do Tombo) and the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. After a careful selection of the most important documents that served the purposes of this study, we performed a literature review of the subjects at hand, mainly in (Portuguese) history and international relations. Shipmasters are commonly considered the addressees of an international legal duty to rescue at sea. This article describes the evolution of international law in this field, from the first maritime conventions of the 1910's to the IMO Safety Committee's resolutions of the 2010's. It then argues that behind the duty to rescue there is a hidden right of the shipmaster. This right has a moral pedigree and is functional to the full compliance of the duty itself. It can be enforced in the national legal order against any State (or private entity) that tries to obstruct the shipmaster's activities of assistance or to penalize her or him for the assistance given. Tutkielmani avaa Suomen Etelä-Korea-suhteiden syntyä ja kehitystä vuosina 1953-1989. Etelä-Korea oli vuonna 2012 Suomen kolmanneksi suurin kauppakumppani Aasiassa tavarakaupalla mitattuna. Suomen Etelä-Korea-suhteiden synty ja kehitys eivät tapahtuneet itsestään, vaan veivät vuosikymmeniä ja monien aktiivisten toimijoiden työtunteja. Suomen diplomaattisuhteet solmittiin Etelä- ja Pohjois-Korean kanssa vuonna 1973. Archives and Library at Cîteaux Abbey: Medieval Writings (12th c.– Early 16th c.)

This thesis project deals with the organization of scriptural productions, archival and library practices of Cîteaux Abbey. We consider the multiple forms of these pratices: creation and increase of archival holdings (Abbey archives and cistercian Order documents), filing, preservation of archives, relations with users. This research takes into account the aspects of document materiality and archaeology, studying cartulary and register processes with their bindings, inventory methods of archives and manuscripts, document appraisal and disposal, classification or restoration, shelf-marks and other graphic characters.
