Este artículo analiza la exclusión e inclusión de acontecimientos y actores sociales en la representación de los sucesos del 11 de septiembre en Nueva York en la prensa digital latinoamericana. Se utiliza el análisis crítico del discurso siguiendo los principios establecidos por Van Dijk (1990, 1997, 1998). La muestra está conformada por 509 noticias seleccionadas de la cobertura noticiosa de diecisiete periódicos digitales latinoamericanos, desde el 12 hasta el 16 de septiembre. “Can do!” Teacher Promotion of Optimism in Response to Student Failure Expectation Expressions in Classroom Discourse

This study offers detailed observational analyses of how teachers use optimism as an instructional resource when responding to students’ failure expectation displays in classroom situations. The results were based on video-recordings of 25 lessons in two Finnish part-time special education settings, analysed by means of applied conversation analysis. The results showed that the teachers boosted optimism by inverting students’ negative utterances, giving examples of successful experiences of peers, offering praise for students’ earlier performance or focusing on problems through instructional support. Nämä arvot ja asenteet näkyvät muun muassa opetussuunnitelmassa ja sitä myöten myös opetuskäytänteissä ja oppikirjoissa. The aim of this dissertation is to qualitatively describe and explain bad leader- ship and the role of the bad leader within. The dissertation consists of five orig- inal articles and the introductory section. The study is based on the foundation formed by research on bad leadership and research on discourse analysis. The focus is on the role of language in the construction, reconstruction and mainte- nance of meanings. Since the end of the last century, the empirical evidence that the natural limits to growth were being overstepped (García, 2004) supposed an increase in environmental awareness and led to a search for answers of different kinds. Most of these answers are part of the neoliberal politics that reconcile economic development with environmental sustainability. One of these solutions is the creation of protected areas. In this paper we analyse, firstly, the growth of protected areas in Europe and how we should perceive that growth. Saistvārdu lietojums emuāros par komercdarbību

Saistvārdi ir svarīgas savienošanas ierīces, kas veicina ideju loģisku sakārtošanu tekstos un rindkopās, un emuāros par komrcdarbību saskaņotības saglabāšana ir tikpat svarīga kā jebkuros citos tekstos. Darba mērķis ir izanalizēt saistvārdu lietošanu piecu visvērtīgāko 2018. gada zīmolu (Amazon, Apple, Google, Microsoft un Facebook) rakstos un ierakstos par komercdarbību. Lai sasniegtu šo mērķi, kā pētniecības metode tika izvēlēta diskursa analīze. Saistvārdi tika noteikti un analizēti, un analīzes rezultāti liecina, ka emuāros par komercdarbību visbiežāk sastopamā saistvārdu kategorija ir pievienošanas / salīdzināšanas kategorija, un visbiežāk izmantotais saist vārds ir arī.

This article examines the application of Research Institute on Social Change (RISC) Monitor in the context of Finnish press journalistic practice and considers the views on journalism and the audience RISC Monitor reinforces. This international and widely used market research tool monitors social change by analysing people's life-styles, attitudes and values.
