The Dynamics of (De)Stigmatization : Boundary construction in the nascent category of organic farming

This study finds that it is possible for organizations in emerging categories to resist stigmatization through discursive reconstruction of the central and distinctive characteristics of the category in question. We examined the emerging market of organic farming in Finland and discovered how resistance to stigmatization was both an internal and an external power struggle in the organic farming community. Recent national healthcare reforms have resulted in many changes to healthcare organizations. When social realities are enacted in social interactions, changes also occur in communication through discourses. In public hospitals, middle management groups form one important platform for change talk. This study aimed to identify and understand how change talk emerges in management group meetings. Constructions of Nonagency in the Clients’ Initial Problem Formulations at the Outset of Psychotherapy

This multiple case study investigated how clients construct nonagentic positions when formulating their problems in the beginning of their first psychotherapy session. The initial problem formulations of nine clients entering psychotherapy were analyzed with a detailed model drawing on discursive methodology, the 10 Discursive Tools model (10DT). Tutkielman tarkoituksena on tarkastella, kuinka 1970-luvun brittiläistä yhteiskuntaa käsitellään Siouxsie and the Banshees -yhtyeen sanoituksissa. Siouxsie and the Banshees perustettiin 1970-luvun lopulla punk-musiikin jälkimainingeissa ja sitä pidetään yhtenä ensimmäisistä goottirock-yhtyeistä.
