The study of the syntactic variation of the dialects of a language is a good instrument to understand the general properties of language and the syntactic principles that govern the limits of variation in sentence structure. This paper deals with two topics of Catalan sintax, which are given different solutions by the speakers depending on the dialects. One of them is at the interface between syntax and morphology; the other, at the interface between syntax and semantics. La reconstruccio de les migracions humanes es possible gracies a la informacio aportada per diverses disciplines. L’estudi de la diversitat genetica de les poblacions humanes actuals ens revela quins han estat els esdeveniments demografics i moviments migratoris passats que han deixat una empremta en el nostre genoma. El coneixement dels moviments migratoris en temps prehistorics ens permet comprovar hipotesis proposades des d’altres disciplines cientifiques. De la mateixa manera, la distribucio de la diversitat genetica en el futur dependra, en gran part, de les intenses migracions humanes actuals facilitades pels avencos tecnologics.

Este trabajo estudia la presencia y complejidad en el tratamiento de las causas de la biodiversidad y de las razones para su conservación que realizan manuales escolares de la Educación Secundaria de España. Para ello, se determinó el ámbito conceptual y axiológico que define la comunidad de expertos, se examinó el tratamiento propuesto en el currículo español y se analizaron 50 manuales escolares (27 de la Educación Secundaria Obligatoria –ESO – y 30 del Bachillerato). The bryophyte flora of the city of Valencia (Eastern Spain)

Bryophytes constitute an important part of the unmanaged plant diversity of urban areas, however, it is generally overlooked and poorly understood. In this study, we investigate the urban bryoflora of Valencia, the third most important Spanish city. A total of 1,178 bryophyte samples from 94 sampling sites were identified rendering 102 taxa, 96 mosses and 6 liverworts. Despite the high overall taxon richness, the number of taxa per locality was rather low, 12.53±8.06. Temporary ponds are one of the most peculiar ecosystems in the world, being characterized by an extraordinarily rich crustacean fauna, with a high degree of endemism. Among them, diaptomid copepods are among the most biogeographically interesting taxa. Background: The population of Bonelli’s eagle (Aquila fasciata) has declined drastically throughout its European range due to habitat degradation and unnatural elevated mortality. There are less than 1500 breeding pairs accounted for in Europe, and the species is currently catalogued as Critically Endangered in Italy, where the 22 territories of Sicily, represent nearly 95% of the entire Italian population. Several marine species in the Mediterranean produce molecules with bioactive potential that could be used to develop new drugs (antibiotics, antifungals, antivirals, and antitumourals). Different human activities such as pollution, marine recreation, and fishing, as well as climate change, threaten and even endanger some of these species. These vulnerable species with bioactive potential must be protected, especially in marine reserves, not only because they are valuable components of marine ecosystems, but also because they are a potential source of molecules with pharmacological properties that are currently being researched for the creation of new drugs.
