La terre en commun. Plaidoyer pour une justice foncière
2019

Teachers' initiating change in practice due to variation of progression of didactical time
2015
International audience; This study aims at identifying situations where time can act as a condition for change in teacher practice. A design based research methodology was applied and teachers where offered help designing mathematics tasks they would want to use in the classroom. All the discussions from this collaboration were analysed using timescales as analytical categories as described by Assude (2005). The findings show that in a diverse class, the difference in learning pace between students can condition change in the teachers practice.

The cultural dimension of territorial intelligence, state of the art, case of cultural heritage
2009
International audience; A new field of research and experimentation is the cultural dimension of territorial intelligence, which means the analysis of the cultural conditions of a sustainable development. Theses conditions are at least cultural diversity and social cohesion. Some significant works have been done concerning the link between culture, territory and identity; cultural diversity is very often considered from the point of view of cultural industries, but it must refer firstly to different people living in the same territory. A very important question is how diversity can be taken into account in the field of heritage and cultural wealth. After his very important work about " plac…
Exhibiting life history at the Paris Muséum d’Histoire Naturelle (nineteenth-twenty-first centuries).
2018
14 pages; International audience; The notion of a history of life has been the subject of extensive debates in France, from the turn of the nineteenth century to the dawn of the twentieth century and beyond. In this paper, I analyze how the organization of buildings and collections within the Paris National Museum of Natural History (MNHN), and their successive transformations up to the present, have reflected concepts and controversies over this history. After a brief overview of the constitution of the Museum, this chapter studies the organization of the Museum’s paleontological, zoological, and comparative anatomy collections, and the devices through which scientific ideas and debates ab…
‘Scottish Eccentrics’: Hugh MacDiarmid and the Scottish Isles
2017
International audience; Hugh MacDiarmid is probably the poet who did the most to defend Scotland’s difference in the 20th century. Born in the Borders, he was acutely aware of the need to distinguish Scottish culture, language and tradition from her southern neighbour’s. Even if MacDiarmid is well known for his use of Scots in the 1920s, his English prose and poetic works in the 1930s were also aimed at asserting the distinctiveness of Scotland vis-à-vis England, especially when the poet chose the Scottish Isles as a subject-matter. Analysing the book-length essay The Islands of Scotland (1939) and the island poems written in the Thirties, this paper will examine the paradoxical strategies …
La créativité des équipes de travail : comprendre l’ambivalence de la diversité
2020
This thesis focused on the role of diversity on the functioning of work teams. He responded to the ambiguity of the literature’s findings and to the call of many authors to pay more attention to the processes underlying the impact of diversity. On the one hand, this work has adopted a minimalist approach and proposed the virtual accomplice paradigm to isolate the sociocategorical part of diversity. On the other hand, he used creativity, rather than performance, as a tool of understanding, because it involves specific sociopsychological issues. By inducing a simple perception of cultural diversity, we observed a decrease (especially qualitative) in divergent thinking among participants who h…
Déni du travail et tyrannie des normes
2012
Based on the example of two quality processes deployed at the SNCF in the field of the service encounter, the aim of this article is to explore, from a clinical point of view, organizational mechanisms which encourage the denial of work. The norms of services previously defined contributed to the front office agents' denial of work, essentially because the respect of these norms became an ultimate finality. This situation has induced an "annoyed activity" (CLOT, 2009) among the front office agents, owing to the fact that the norms have been perceived as a hindrance to the accomplishment of a high-grade work. In the two previous practical examples, the reality (of work), the real work (in op…
