Abstract This article examines state-church relations in Sweden by analysing clerical appointment processes in the latter part of the 16th century. The aim is to ascertain whether the king of Sweden could appoint pastors independently, and if not, with whom he was compelled to share the power. Earlier studies argue that the power of the king grew due to the reformation. First, this article examines the number of clerical appointments that were made in the period 1560-1611. Several stone statuettes of domestic gods have been discovered in houses in the Roman city of Intaranum, now Entrains (Nièvre), located in the north of the Aeduii territory. During an excavation carried out by INRAP in 2014-2015 in the northern part of the city, nine new statuettes were unearthed, some intact or barely damaged. The statuettes are of feminine or masculine deities, who sit and hold their knees, symbolising material welfare. Some statuettes come from in previously identified workshops. ABSTRACT. Violence is a serious problem, and social and health care providers are in a key position for implementing successful interventions. This qualitative study of 6 focus groups with professionals (n = 30) examines the health care professionals’ ways of framing a domestic violence intervention. Of special interest here is how professionals see their own roles in the process of recognizing and helping victims of domestic violence. Abstract The Spanish economy was the most hit by the Great Recession. It suffered a greater decrease in the gross domestic product (GDP) (affecting especially internal demand). However, it suffered a greater increase in exports (the so-called Spanish “miracle”). Particularly, Spanish SMEs incorporation into exports has been spectacular since 2008. Further, this has coincided with a huge increase in unemployment. The essay deals with the birth and the series changes relating to the construction of stone domes set on chapels in Sicily in the early sixteenth century. The selected examples and the solutions put in place by architects and builders of the time show a surprising and modern intertwining of languages, between Gothic, Renaissance and ancient local, and reveal the reasons for choices that contain an ideological component or a design and construction practice, facilitated by contracts by analogy.
