Herbert Doms belongs to the circle of German theologians that in the first half of the twentieth Century contributed to the discussions on the teaching of the purpose of marriage. His book About the meaning and the purpose of marriage published 1935 in Breslau became an important work that proposed the distinction between the meaning and purpose of marriage and on this way opened new ways in Catholic theology towards an understanding of marriage. The article starts from a conception of language according to which the semiotic units that speakers use do not emanate from individual mental processes but from the socialization of representation instruments which, being individual elements initially, have later been involved in processes of communicative circulation. These representations are geometric, algebraic and textual. The textbooks are Tetra, Faktor and Maximum. Folkehelseinstituttet (2016) konkluderer med at 15 til 20 prosent av alle norske ungdommer til enhver tid har nedsatt funksjon grunnet psykiske vansker. Samtidig viser Bakken (2016) til at ni prosent av guttene og 26 prosent av jentene fra 10. klassetrinn til Vg3 har høyt nivå av depressive symptomer.
