Darbs ir balstīts uz politiķu priekšvēlēšanas kampaņu programmām un tiek pētīts, kā politiķi pilda un pieturas savai priekšvēlēšanas kampaņas programmai, kas tiek izskatīts uz bijušā ASV Valsts prezidenta – Donalda Trampa piemēra. Darba mērķis ir izanalizēt Donalda Trampa 2015. gada priekšvēlēšanas kampaņas programmas saturu, atlasīt 5 galvenos programmas punktus un noskaidrot – vai tie tika izpildīti, vai nē, un tādā gadījumā, noskaidrot kādi bija iemesli neveiksmei. Agresīvas valodas izmantošana prezidentūras laikā.” Šī darba ietvaros tiek analizēti agresīvi Donalda Trampa ieraksti vietnē “Twitter”, lai noskaidrotu, vai tie ir vērsti pret jaunās labējās politikas pretiniekiem – medijiem un demokrātiem. Pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot Donalda Trampa valodas īpatnības, rakstot “Twitter”, un pētīt, kādu atslēgvārdu lietošana un pret ko vērstie agresīvie ieraksti visbiežāk ieskicē prezidenta agresiju un neapmierinātību. Pētījumā tiek noskaidrotas galēji labējās politikas vērtības, politiskā komunikācija un opozīcija, kas pētījuma gaitā tiek salīdzināta ar Donalda Trampa agresīviem ierakstiem “Twitter”.

Searching for Syntax in the Early Medieval Commentaries on Donatus

This study aims at contributing to the reconstruction of the metalanguage and the specific terminology used by grammarians with reference to the reflection on syntax, as it emerges from the analysis of Late Antiquity and Early Middle Ages grammar texts. The study focuses on the description of prepositions within the commentaries on Donatus’s Artes. Despite the overall lack of a systematic treatment of syntax within the Greek-Latin grammatical tradition, the description of specific partes orationis, e.g. praepositio, shows actually traces of a certain reflection on syntax. Long-distance trade and consumption of mollusks in the Byzantine and Early Islamic periods in the Negev Desert

Abstract Recent archaeological excavations in the Negev desert in the southern Levant have yielded a variety of mollusk shells originating from the Mediterranean Sea, the Nile River, and the Red Sea, uncovered in the trash mounds and settlements of Byzantine and Early Islamic sites. These remains indicate that aquatic products were among the merchandised comestibles transported across long distances. Three shellfish taxa manifest such transportation: (1) the small clam, Donax trunculus, commonly found in the exposed sandy wash zones of the Eastern Mediterranean coast; (2) the large freshwater mussel, Chambardia rubens, whose habitat stretches from the Nile River to western Africa; and (3) t…
Low incidence of Vibrio vulnificus among Vibrio isolates from sea water and shellfish of the western Mediterranean coast.

A specific search for Vibrio vulnificus in natural marine samples from the Spanish Mediterranean Sea was carried out by nested PCR and cultural approaches using thiosulphate-citrate-bile salts-sucrose agar (TCBS) and cellobiose-polymixin B-colistin agar (CPC), incubated at 40 degrees C, as selective media. Presumptive colonies were identified by PCR using specific primers against 23S rRNA sequences. This species was isolated from sea water and edible bivalves, mainly after preenrichment in alkaline peptone water (APW) at 40 degrees C followed by CPC agar.
