Fluid storage and migration properties of sheared Neptunian dykes

Abstract Neptunian dykes are widely reported along the Tethyan carbonate platforms and are commonly considered as subsurface baffles or barriers to fluid flow. However, the fluid storage and migration properties of sheared Neptunian dykes are poorly known. For this reason, we investigate the inner structure and fluid flow properties of two Neptunian dykes, which can be characterized by different architectures if involved or not in brittle shearing processes. Prenatal ultrasonographic detection of unilateral cerebral ventriculomegaly arises suspicion of pathological condition related to cerebrospinal fluid flow obstruction or cerebral parenchimal pathology. Dyke-Davidoff-Masson syndrome is a rare condition characterized by cerebral hemiatrophy, calvarial thickening, skull and facial asymmetry, contralateral hemiparesis, cognitive impairment and seizures. Publisher Summary The Agardagh Tes–Chem ophiolite in Tuva, Central Asia, is part of the Central Asian Mobile Belt which formed during subduction–accretion processes lasting from the early Neoproterozoic to the late Palaeozoic. The Agardagh Tes–Chem ophiolite marks the northwestern border of the Tuva–Mongolian Massif (TMM), which comprises several intrusive and metamorphic complexes. These complexes consist of metatonalites, gneisses, migmatites, amphibolites, marbles, quartzites, low-grade metasedimentary rocks and minor ultramafic lenses, and radiometric ages range between 536 and 464 Ma.
