Collaborativeness as the core of professional learning communities beyond culture and context : evidence from Canada, Finland, and Israel

ABSTRACTProfessional learning communities (PLC) have been widely accepted as effective with respect to good atmosphere, adequate leadership practices, and functional working practices. However, the outcomes for school improvement depend on case-specific issues. To identify less culturally and contextually bound issues in 3 PLC settings in Canada, Finland, and Israel, we examined our cases through the notion of “collaborativeness”. Empirical links between natural mortality and recovery in marine fishes

Probability of species recovery is thought to be correlated with specific aspects of organismal life history, such as age at maturity and longevity, and how these affect rates of natural mortality ( M ) and maximum per capita population growth ( r max ). Complex dynamics, hidden attractors and continuous approximation of a fractional-order hyperchaotic PWC system

In this paper, a continuous approximation to studying a class of PWC systems of fractionalorder is presented. Some known results of set-valued analysis and differential inclusions are utilized. The example of a hyperchaotic PWC system of fractional order is analyzed. It is found that without equilibria, the system has hidden attractors.
