Hospitalizations of patients in Burgundy and in nine other french regions, spatial analysis of interregional flows from french hospital claims data
2015
Introduction / presentation of the context : The creation of ARS (Regional Healthcare Agencies) was accompanied by the regionalized organization of healthcare. Even though the administrative procedures for dividing the country into areas for healthcare coverage are well known, we propose a geographic analysis of the reasons why patients attend one hospital rather than another, which seem to escape the logic used by the authorities. Methods employed and sources of data : Using the PMSI-MCO, we studied the flow of patients living in one region to hospitals in other regions according to ten reasons for visiting hospitals. The analysis was completed by a cartographic analysis, which related the …
Archéogéographique du Haut Val Suzon
2018
Climatic and anthropogenic influences on three burgundian watercourses : geoarchaelogy of crossing sites on Loire, Saône and Doubs during the Holocene
2015
A geoarchaeological study was led on four sections of the valleys of the Loire, Saône and Doubs rivers (Burgundy, France) in order to point out the factors influencing the alluvial dynamics on a multimillennial scale, and their effects on the preservation of archaeological information. Investigations started by roman and medieval remains of bridges discovered in active channels, were then carried out on larger parts of alluvial plains, and altogether allowed the evolutions of the channels during the Holocene period to be deducted. Various types of information on alluvial characteristics were crossed through time and space: ancient maps and XXth century or aerial photographs for centennial s…
Magnesium silicate hydrate (M-S-H) characterization : temperature, calcium, aluminium and alkali
2017
The various options to store radioactive wastes in deep geological strata considered in France or Switzerland include the use of large volumes of cementitious materials for infrastructure in contact with argillaceous rocks. So-called low-pH binders were developed to minimize disruption to the surrounding rock by the alkaline plume. Studies conducted on the interaction zone between concrete and clay systematically highlighted the formation of magnesium silicate phases including magnesium silicate hydrate (M-S-H) at the interfaces, which can presently be modeled only partially due to incomplete thermodynamic data. The purpose of this study was to characterize these phases in temperature, alum…
Vapor-liquid-solid mechanisms: Challenges for nanosized quantum cluster/dot/wire materials
2006
International audience; The growth mechanism model of a nanoscaled material is a critical step that has to be refined for a better understanding of a nanostructure's dot/wire fabrication. To do so, the growth mechanism will be discussed in this paper and the influence of the size of the metallic nanocluster starting point, referred to later as “size effect,” will be studied. Among many of the so-called size effects, a tremendous decrease of the melting point of the metallic nanocluster changes the physical properties as well as the physical/mechanical interactions inside the growing structure composed of a metallic dot on top of a column. The thermodynamic size effect is related to the bend…
Partially hyperbolic diffeomorphisms with a compact center foliation with finite holonomy
2011
The thesis classifies partially hyperbolic diffeomorphisms with a compact center foliation with finite holonomy. Under the further assumption of a one-dimensional unstable bundle we show the following: If the unstable bundle is oriented then the system fibers over a hyperbolic toral automorphism. We further establish that the system has a dense orbit of center leaves. During the proof we show a Shadowing Lemma and the dynamical coherence without restrictions of the dimensions.
La décomposition canonique et la cointégration
1994
This paper has introduced state space models for cointegrated time series. In doing so, the notion of cointegration is slightly generalized. We develop the notion of dynamic aggregation link with error correction model and common trends.
Urban dynamics, mobilities and transport in the Algerian Southwest (wilayas of Adrar and Bechar)
2012
Between a regional perspective of the territorial (spatial) planning and a geopolitical vision of the region " Sahel, the Maghreb ", the Algerian State made a commitment since the second decade of its independence not only to develop transport in the Saharan zones but also to set up the necessary equipments for the economical and social development of these zones, by serving almost the totality of the urban areas. In the Southwest, this dynamics remodelled profoundly the relational space in Saoura, Gourara and Touat.Structured formerly by the roads of the trans-Saharan caravan business, this space opens up, attributes new functions and becomes urbanized. A new reorganization of the space is…
Trois modèles pour mieux comprendre la localisation des commerces de détail en milieu urbain
2003
Three models are proposed to offer a better understanding of urban retail location dynamics. Each corresponds to one step in a methodological progression, the presentation of which is the central concern of this paper. The first step consists in modelling the general processes behind urban retail location patterns. The second step identifies the main retail location rules and defines the structure of the third model. Whereas the results of the two first steps are mainly conceptual, the mathematical nature of the last model allows for simulations.
Study of the different polymorphs of alumina and transitional phases appearing in the first oxidation stage of aluminium : simulation at the atomic s…
2014
The goal of this work is to develop a new SMTB-Q potential in order to study the early stages of the oxidation of aluminium by molecular dynamics (MD).Our potential is able to model different alumina polymorphs as well as transitions from the amorphous state to a crystalline phase. Our approach couples a covalent term with the charge. It uses Rapp_ and Goddard scheme for the electrostatic part and the model of alternating network developed by C. Noguera for the covalent part. The SMTB-Q potential was validated with a Monte Carlo approach. This study shows that the potential SMTB-Q gives satisfactory results for the Al-O bonding in different atomic configurations. The bonding results from the…
