This paper aims to describe the eTwinning Teacher Training Institutes Pilot (TTI)1experiment during academic year 2014/15 with 550 undergraduate students from first and second year of Educational Technologies degree courses. The research was given start with the purpose of preparing tomorrow's teachers for a future where the use of ICT and is in everyday teaching, to promote their digital skills and communication skills, and their use of English as a foreign language within a cross-cultural context. This paper aims at examining the impact of eTwinning experience on empowering future teachers’ intercultural awareness within two different international eTwinning projects. The first project “What kind of World do we want?” has been given start in October 2021 and apart from University of Palermo it involves two different universities from Turkey. Il contributo vuole presentare uno studio di caso sull'utilizzo della flipped classroom, svolto con 25 studenti del secondo anno del corso di laurea in Scienze della Formazione Primaria di Palermo, all'interno del Laboratorio di Tecnologie didattiche per la scuola Primaria e dell’Infanzia. Il P21’s Framework for 21st Century Learning ha sviluppato una visione unificata e collettiva per l’apprendimento conosciuto come il Quadro di riferimento per l’apprendimento del XXI secolo per aiutare gli insegnanti ad integrare le 4Cs nella loro pratica didattica quotidiana. Educare alle 4Cs è una delle sfide del XXI secolo e delle Online Learning Communities.
