La scuola di Jddu Krishnamurti e la pedagogia italiana del secondo Novecento

2019

A book of the Indian spiritual master Jddu Krishnamurti (Education and the Significance of life), translated in 1958 by Aldo Visalberghi and published by La Nuova Italia, contained anti-educational and provocative proposals unrelated to the interests of the pedagogists. There was, by the academic world, a timid curiosity about the critical and polemical elements of the Krishnamurtian philosophy, that ignored or misunderstood the new and original conception of the school, that pedagogy can now reconsiders for a critic reflection about the new educational emergencies.

Il bambino “adorato”. Come ripensare l’educazione familiare

2018

The psycho-social investigations carried out in our country emphasize that nowadays children are ever more alone: only child families increase and their children grow up without brothers, sisters, and cousins; furthermore, there is an increase of family instability and a procrastination of parental transition. In addition, procreation control and planning (e.g.: by medically assisted fertilization) have created a more adored than loved child. Its characteristic feature is a "phenomenological-hermeneutic" approach that consists in analyzing the phenomena that are called "educational", with the gaze turned to grasping their essential traits. In the text a characteristic feature of contemporary education is extensively analyzed: the grea…

La relation éducative au cours du XVIIIème siècle

2013

18th century writing on education seems to give an important place to the relationship between master and pupil. This is first seen in the way the Ancien Regime school is discussed in 1726 in Charles Rollin’s Traité des études, also in the educational anthropology in Rousseau’s Émile ou de l’Éducation (1762) and the royal institution in Condillac’s Cours d’étude (1776) ; and finally in the upbringing, home education Alman’s children receive in Stéphanie de Genlis’ Adèle et Théodore (1782). Indeed, the relationship between master and pupil raises several questions at this time of intellectual ferment, when minds were filled with ideas of man’s perfectibility. Our corpus brings together variou…
