Non-linear analysis of plane steel prestressed truss in fire

The concept of analysis of 2-D static loaded prestressed steel trusses till failure during fire using a modified method of forces is presented. Failure of steel trusses in fire is based on the criterion of stresses. Behaviour of steel is described by non-linear constitutive model (based on hypo-elastic Ramberg-Osgood formula and Dorn creep theory) and Plem proposition (for string). Both models are approximated in calculations by hyperbolic Norton-Bailey rule. Fire simulates thermal force as an action of high temperature that increases linearly up to some level. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvittää nuorten aikuisten odotuksia ja toiveita perheen perustamiseen liittyen. Taustalla vaikuttavana ilmiönä oli syntyvyyden lasku ja perheen perustamisen siirtäminen. Aineisto kerättiin haastattelemalla kahtakymmentä lapsetonta 18–25-vuotiasta, kymmentä naista ja kymmentä miestä. Tutkittavat edustivat sekä korkeakoulutettuja että toisen asteen koulutuksen käyneitä. Puolistrukturoidut teemahaastattelut toteutettiin touko–kesä- kuussa 2017 viidellä eri paikkakunnalla. Perheen köyhyys nuorten kokemana

Tarkastelen pro gradu –tutkielmassani köyhän perheen nuorten kokemuksia vähävaraisuudesta, kuinka he tulkitsevat köyhyyden merkitykset arjessaan ja minkälaisia toimijuuksia he ovat omaksuneet. Aineistoni koostuu 61 kirjoituksesta, jotka keräsin kirjoituspyynnöllä verkkokeskustelupalstoilla ja tutkielman aineistonkeruuta varten luodussa blogissa sekä nuorten verkkokeskusteluista köyhyysaiheisista viestiketjuista. Analysoin aineistoni sisällönanalyysilla. What matters more in open access journal publishing : Scientific rigor or financial vigor?

Academics and librarians around the world are raising concern about the current state of scholarly journal publishing in that the majority of journals are under the control of five multinational commercial journal publishing companies. Some are advocating for scholars to take back control of scholarly communication, particularly because it is the academics who are supplying and managing most of the content for journals. Open access publishing is one option, but the question of sustainability in funding streams raises concerns. Also the roles of scholarly societies, academic association, and universities in looking for stability in nonprofit journal publishing are discussed.
