Tässä tutkimuksessa tutkittiin millä tavoin freejazz ilmensi afrikanamerikkalaisten nationalistista identiteettiä Yhdysvalloissa 1960-luvulla. Tavoitteena oli selvittää erilaisia afrikanamerikkalaisen kulttuurin kautta rakennetun nationalistisen identiteetin presentaatiotapoja freejazzin kontekstissa. Computing the Original eBWT Faster, Simpler, and with Less Memory

Mantaci et al. [TCS 2007] defined the \(\mathrm {eBWT}\) to extend the definition of the \(\mathrm {BWT}\) to a collection of strings. However, since this introduction, it has been used more generally to describe any \(\mathrm {BWT}\) of a collection of strings, and the fundamental property of the original definition (i.e., the independence from the input order) is frequently disregarded. In this paper, we propose a simple linear-time algorithm for the construction of the original \(\mathrm {eBWT}\), which does not require the preprocessing of Bannai et al. [CPM 2021]. Conspiracy Beliefs Are Related to the Use of Smartphones behind the Wheel

The belief in conspiracy theories predicts behaviors related to public health such as the willingness to receive vaccines. This study applies a similar approach to an aspect of road safety: the use of smartphones while driving. A representative sample of 1706 subjects answered a series of questions related to what can be regarded as erroneous or conspiracy beliefs against restricting or banning the use of smartphones while driving. The results show that those having such conspiracy beliefs reported a greater use of smartphones behind the wheel.

Abstract The aim of this study is to explore how students experience and describe socio-cognitive and socio-emotional challenges in collaborative learning. The participants (N = 20) were teacher education students whose collaborative learning was supported with a designed regulation macro script during a six-week mathematics course. In Bolivia, the third term and the habilitation of former President Evo Morales to the 2019 presidential elections was allowed with the acquiescence of the Plurinational Constitutional Court. Despite the fact that the Constitution prohibited it and there was a referendum that rejected indefinite presidential re-election. This occurred through the judicialization of politics that produced a non-formal reform of the Constitution producing a case of abusive constitutionalism and the destabilization of the rule of law.
Identification of isomeric states in the N=73 neutron-deficient nuclei 132Pr and 130La

Decays from isomeric states in the neutron-deficient N=73 nuclei 132Pr and 130La have been observed for the first time. Half-lives of 486(70) ns and 2.46(4) μs were measured for two isomeric states in 132Pr. The decay from the 486ns (8 -) isomer has been interpreted as a hindered E1 transition from the bandhead state of the excited πh 11/2νg 7/2 configuration. The decay from the 2.5 μs (8 +) isomer is consistent with the Weisskopf estimate for a low-energy E2 transition. An analogous 0.74(3) μs decay from an (8 +) isomer in the neighboring isotone 130La has also been observed which similarly can be explained if the transition has E2 character. Artikkelissa tarkastellaan etnologian keinoin miksi Tansanian nuoriso harjoittaa korkean hivtartuntariskin omaavia seksuaalisia käytänteitä. Tutkimus perustuu Tansanian suurimmassa kaupungissa Dar es Salaamissa tehtyihin 128 teemahaastatteluun. Analyysin lähtökohtana on ajatus siitä, että kulttuuristen odotusten ja asenteiden huolellinen analyysi antaa tutkijoille mahdollisuuden löytää uusia ratkaisuja hiv-tartuntariskin vähentämiseksi köyhillä kaupunkialueilla Saharan eteläpuolisessa Afrikassa. peerReviewed
