Extension of Deflection Coefficient for Linear Fusion of Quantized Reports in Cooperative Sensing

Maximizing the so-called deflection coefficient is commonly used as an effective approach to design cooperative sensing schemes with low computational complexity. In this paper, an extension to the deflection coefficient is proposed which captures the effects of the quantization processes at the sensing nodes, jointly with the impact of linear combining at the fusion center. The proposed parameter is then used to formulate a new mixed-integer nonlinear programming problem as a fast suboptimal method to design a distributed detection scenario where the nodes report their sensing outcomes to a fusion center through nonideal digital links. Experimental study of $^{100}$Tc $\beta$ decay with total absorption $\gamma$-ray spectroscopy

International audience; The β decay of Tc100 has been studied by using the total absorption γ-ray spectroscopy technique at the Ion Guide Isotope Separator On-Line facility in Jyväskylä. In this work the new Decay Total Absorption γ-ray Spectrometer in coincidence with a cylindrical plastic β detector has been employed. The β intensity to the ground state obtained from the analysis is in good agreement with previous high-resolution measurements. However, differences in the feeding to the first-excited state as well as weak feeding to a new level at high excitation energy have been deduced from this experiment. In December 2006 blooms of Planktothrix rubescens were found in the reservoir Prizzi in Sicily. Planktothrix is a genus of filamentous alga comprising approximately 6 species, between these the P. rubescens is sadly famous since this organism produces microcystins which are powerful hepatotoxins. Firstly found in Europe in 1825 on Geneva lake, recently (2006) those algae has been find out in Pozzillo, Nicoletti e Ancipa reservoirs (Enna Province), as well as in Prizzi (Palermo Province) and Garcia reservoirs (Trapani Province). This paper investigates labour productivity growth and regional convergence patterns in Italy over the time span 1982–2000. Starting from some evidence of spatial polarisation within Italian economy, the analysis aims at exploring the sources of this tendency. To this end, an approach based on data envelopment analysis (DEA) production frontiers is employed which allows to decompose labour productivity growth into efficiency change, technological progress and capital deepening, looking then at the relative contribution of each component to regional convergence.
