W artykule przedstawiono postęp w zakresie uzyskiwanych sprawności przez ogniwa i moduły fotowoltaiczne (PV) wykonane z różnych materiałów i za pomocą różnych technologii. Zawarto w nim szczegółowe zestawienia tabelaryczne sprawności oraz ich parametrów technicznych. This paper uses a stochastic frontier production model to estimate the technical efficiency of 21 nations among the more industrialized countries in the world for the wide period from 1966 to 2007. A Cobb-Douglas with labour and capital as inputs, GDP as output and efficiency with exponential distribution appears to work good from a statistical point of view. This model is used to estimate in a bayesian approach the efficiency score of these 21 countries. The bayesian way, applied via Gibbs sampling, is here useful to avoid problems about the small number of observations. So, each efficiency score is obtained as mean of 10,000 draws. Pyöräilytyössä hyötysuhdetta (ulkoisen polkemistyön suhdetta kokonaisenergiankulutukseen)on helppo tutkia ja tällaiseen metaboliseen tehokkuuteen onkin määritelty monia erilaisia mittareita. Abstract The majority of countries with advanced information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure have been experiencing extended stagnation due to an “embedded” trap in ICT advancement. Effect of Ion Escape Velocity and Conversion Surface Material on H- Production

According to generally accepted models surface production of negative ions depends on ion escape velocity and work function of the surface. We have conducted an experimental study addressing the role of the ion escape velocity on H− production. A converter‐type ion source at Los Alamos Neutron Science Center was employed for the experiment. The ion escape velocity was affected by varying the bias voltage of the converter electrode. It was observed that due to enhanced stripping of H− no direct gain of extracted beam current can be achieved by increasing the converter voltage. Does innovativeness reduce startup survival rates?

There are two competing hypotheses explaining how innovativeness influences the survival of startups: On the one hand, innovativeness is argued to foster survival-enhancing attributes (e.g., market power and cost efficiency) and capabilities (e.g., absorptive capacity). On the other hand, an innovative startup faces (and bears the associated risks of) liabilities of newness and smallness that exceed those of its non-innovative counterparts.
