Abstract. Remotely sensing vegetation condition and health hazards requires modeling the connection of plants’ biophysical and biochemical parameters to their spectral response. Even though many models exist already, the field suffers from lack of access to program code. Nel presente lavoro viene valutata la potenzialità di accoppiare la USLE con il contenuto d’acqua del suolo pre-evento o il deflusso stimato, per migliorare l’accuratezza della stima della perdita di suolo a scala di singolo evento erosivo. A tale scopo sono stati utilizzati due approcci per i quali la perdita di suolo e il fattore di erosività sono legati da una legge di potenza. Il primo è il modello USLE-MM con deflusso stimato da un modello afflussi deflussi, SCRRM, che importa dati di contenuto d’acqua. Dynamics of hydrofracturing and permeability evolution in layered reservoirs

International audience; A coupled hydro-mechanical model is presented to model fluid driven fracturing in layered porous rocks. In the model the solid elastic continuum is described by a discrete element approach coupled with a fluid continuum grid that is used to solve Darcy based pressure diffusion. The model assumes poro-elasto-plastic effects and yields real time dynamic aspects of the fracturing and effective stress evolution under the influence of excess fluid pressure gradients. We show that the formation and propagation of hydrofractures are sensitive to mechanical and tectonic conditions of the system. The aim of this ethnographic and autoethnographic research was to explore what kind of a learning culture existed in an 8th grade English class in a Finnish basic education school in the 2011-2012 academic year. The class was taught jointly by a subject teacher and a special education teacher. Reflective and Impulsive Processes Underlying Saving Behavior and the Additional Roles of Self-Control and Habit

Using a dual-process framework, the aim of this research was to investigate the associations between reflective and impulsive processes and saving behavior. Self-control and saving habit were tested as additional factors that potentially moderate the relationship between constructs representing reflective and impulsive processes and behavior, or exert indirect effects on behavior through these systems. A community sample of 594 participants completed measures of saving intention, buying impulsiveness, trait self-control, saving automaticity, and propensity to save money. Täten luovan kirjoittamisen tehtävien suunnittelu on opettajien ja oppimateriaalien valmistajien vastuulla.
