Pielgrzymka Ślązaków do Rzymu i Viterbo w 1967 r. Na drodze polsko-niemieckiego pojednania
2018

Political Cleavages In The Weimar Republic and the Rise of National Socialism
2013
The article deals with the question if the cleavage concept of Lipset and Rokkan can be applied to the rise of National Socialism at the polls and as a mass-integration party. Voter fluctuations within and between political camps are analysed by means of ecological regression analysis as well as the social composition of the NSDAP electorate. Furthermore the social fabric of NSDAP party members between 1925 and 1933 is decribed in terms of the cleavage concept.

Edusemiotics of meaningful learning experience : Revisiting Kant’s pedagogical paradox and Greimas’ semiotic square
2016
In this article we examine the educational process and learning from the edusemiotic point of view in terms of meaningful experience and meaningful action. A conception of meaningful experience is central in many branches of educational thinking, from pragmatism to existentialism. We analyze this conception from two traditional and somewhat remote perspectives, utilizing some themes of Kant’s educational philosophy on the one hand and Greimas’ semiotics on the other. Kant’s views of human formative powers – Bildung – will be described as a basic philosophy of learning experience. Kant’s theory is then critiqued from the perspective of existentialist educational philosophy. Concepts of meani…

Likumprojektu monitoringa izveide NAIS.lv portālā
2016
Likumprojektu monitorings ir sadaļa portālā NAIS.lv, kas dod iespēju reģistrētam lietotājam sekot likumprojekta izskatīšanas gaitai, saņemot atgādinājuma ziņojumus e-pastā. Visiem portāla apmeklētājiem pieejami pēdējā sasaukuma likumprojekti. Likumprojektus var sameklēt pēc nosaukuma, tā numura, statusa. Pie kam, izmainot kādu no parametriem, rezultātu kopa tiek dinamiski atjaunota.
Einstein and Relativity: What Price Fame?
2012
ArgumentEinstein's initial fame came in late 1919 with a dramatic breakthrough in his general theory of relativity. Through a remarkable confluence of events and circumstances, the mass media soon projected an image of the photogenic physicist as a bold new revolutionary thinker. With his theory of relativity Einstein had overthrown outworn ideas about space and time dating back to Newton's day, no small feat. While downplaying his reputation as a revolutionary, Einstein proved he was well cast for the role of mild-mannered scientific genius. Yet fame demanded its price. Surrounded by social and economic unrest in Berlin, he was caught between two worlds, one struggling to be born, another …
