Robust motion control of nonlinear quadrotor model with wind disturbance observer

This paper focuses on robust wind disturbance rejection for nonlinear quadrotor models. By leveraging on nonlinear unknown observer theory, it proposes a nonlinear dynamic filter that, using sensors already on-board the aircraft, can estimate in real-time wind gust signals in the three dimensions. The wind disturbance is then treated as input to the PD controller for a quick and robust flight pathway in presence of disturbances. With this scheme, the wind disturbance can be precisely estimated online and compensated in real-time. Hence, the quadrotor can successfully reach its desired attitude and position. The “post-Soviet space” consists of countries with a substantial fraction of the world’s population; however, unlike many other regions, its social media network landscape is still somewhat under-explored. This paper aims at filling this gap. To this purpose, we use anonymized data on user friendships at VK.com (also known as VKontakte and, informally, as “Russian Facebook”), which is the largest and most popular social media portal in the post-Soviet space with hundreds of millions of user accounts. Field Reconstruction for Modeling Multiple Faults in Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors in Transient States

Conventional field reconstruction model (FRM) for electrical machines has proved its main strength in efficient computations of magnetic fields and forces in healthy permanent magnet synchronous machines (PMSM) or faulty machines in steady states. This study aims to develop a magnet library of different magnet defects and include inter-turn short-circuit (ITSC) in the FRM for PMSM. The developed FRM can model a combination fault between ITSC, and magnet defect in a PMSM in transient states. In this paper, we consider the problem of completely flying over an area just hit by an earthquake with a fleet of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) to opportunely direct rescue teams. The cooperation between UAVs ensures that the search for possible survivors can be faster and more effective than the solutions currently implemented by civil protection.
