Unravelling the Intertwined Atomic and Bulk Nature of Localised Excitons by Attosecond Spectroscopy
2021
The electro-optical properties of most semiconductors and insulators of technological interest are dominated by the presence of electron-hole quasi-particles, called excitons. The manipulation of excitons in dielectrics has recently received great attention, with possible applications in different fields including optoelectronics and photonics. Here, we apply attosecond transient reflection spectroscopy in a sequential two-foci geometry and observe sub-femtosecond dynamics of a core-level exciton in bulk MgF2 single crystals. Furthermore, we access absolute phase delays, which allow for an unambiguous comparison with theoretical calculations. Our results show that excitons surprisingly exhi…
Low dimensional perovskite: synthetic methods and application in optoelectronics
2020
Through the end of contribute to the next generation of photovoltaics and light emitting devices the preparation of no-expensive and high quality materials with high PLQY and reduced non-radiative recombination is crucial. For such a reason the thesis is focus on the develop of high optoelectronic potential hybrid perovskite material and on their processing methods. In the different Chapters, various low dimensional perovskite synthetic approaches and their application are investigated. In the Chapter 2, a low dimension quasi-2D perovskite with a remarkable PLQY was prepared thanks to interplay of different fabrication approaches such us altered stoichiometry, solution engineered deposition…
Innovative Approaches for Light-Emitting Electrochemical Cells
2023
4,4'-[Thiophene-2,5-diylbis(ethyne-2,1-diyl)]dibenzonitrile
2008
In the solid state, the title compound, C(22)H(10)N(2)S, forms centrosymmetric dimers by pairs of non-classical C-H⋯S hydrogen bonds linking approximately coplanar mol-ecules. The benzene ring involved in this inter-action makes a dihedral angle of only 7.21 (16)° with the thio-phene ring, while the other benzene ring is twisted somewhat out of the plane, with a dihedral angle of 39.58 (9)°. The hydrogen-bonded dimers stack on top of each other with an inter-planar spacing of 3.44 Å. C-H⋯N hydrogen bonds link together stacks that run in approximately perpendicular directions. Each mol-ecule thus inter-acts with 12 adjacent mol-ecules, five of them approaching closer than the sum of the van …
Aiming strategy affects performance-related factors in biathlon standing shooting
2021
This study focused on investigating differences in shooting performance and performance related factors between two different aiming strategies (HOLD, low radial velocity during the approach 0.4‐0.2 seconds before triggering, and TIMING, high radial velocity) in biathlon standing shooting. 23 biathletes fired 8x5 standing shots at rest (REST) and 2x5 shots during a race simulation (RACE). Shooting performance (hit point distance from the center of the target), aiming point trajectory and postural balance were measured from each shot. Shooting performance was similar both at REST (HOLD 33±5 mm vs TIMING 38±8 mm, p=0.111) and in RACE (40±11 mm vs 47±12 mm, p=0.194). Better shooting performanc…

Volume preserving mean curvature flows near strictly stable sets in flat torus
2021
In this paper we establish a new stability result for the smooth volume preserving mean curvature flow in flat torus $\mathbb T^n$ in low dimensions $n=3,4$. The result says roughly that if the initial set is near to a strictly stable set in $\mathbb T^n$ in $H^3$-sense, then the corresponding flow has infinite lifetime and converges exponentially fast to a translate of the strictly stable (critical) set in $W^{2,5}$-sense.
Relationship Between Visual Field Sensitivity and Retinal Nerve Fiber Layer Thickness Measured by Scanning Laser Polarimetry and Optical Coherence To…
2009
Purpose: To evaluate the correlation between automated achromatic perimetry (AAP) and the output of two retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) analysers: scanning laser polarimetry (GDx-VCC) and optical coherence tomography (OCT). Methods: Quantitative RNFL measurements with GDx-VCC and Stratus-OCT were obtained in one eye from 52 healthy subjects, 38 ocular hypertensive (OHT) patients and 94 glaucomatous patients. All patients underwent a complete examination, including AAP using the Swedish interactive threshold algorithm (SITA). The relationship between RNFL measurements and SITA visual field global indices were assessed by means of the following methods: analysis of variance, bivariate Pearso…
P-C Cross-Coupling Onto Enamides: Versatile Synthesis of α-Enamido Phosphane Derivatives
2012
We report herein the Pd-catalyzed P–C cross-coupling reac- tion between enol phosphates and secondary phosphane–bor- ane complexes or phosphane oxides. The reaction was per- formed under mild conditions, owing to Pd activation of the P–H bonds of the phosphane–boranes (or phosphane oxides) and to the powerful enol phosphate coupling reagents. New useful chiral and achiral α - β -alkenylphosphane derivatives bearing an amido group in the α -position to the P center were obtained in yields up to 70 %.
Experimental test of the performances of a photovoltaic modules model
2015
In this paper, a measurement-based modeling technique for PV panels oriented to power electronics design is proposed. The proposed modelling approach aims at an accurate modeling of the whole PV curve and not only around a few remarkable points. The proposed approach is based on an experimental characterization of the module under test. In fact, the incompleteness of manufacturers' data and the knowledge of physical parameters are the main source of inaccuracy in existing modelling approaches. The proposed approach is applied to a four lumped parameters model of a Conergy E215P solar module. Tests are performed under natural light. The parameter identification procedure is described in deta…
