Lower bound limit analysis by bem: Convex optimization problem and incremental approach

2013

Abstract The lower bound limit approach of the classical plasticity theory is rephrased using the Multidomain Symmetric Galerkin Boundary Element Method, under conditions of plane and initial strains, ideal plasticity and associated flow rule. The new formulation couples a multidomain procedure with nonlinear programming techniques and defines the self-equilibrium stress field by an equation involving all the substructures (bem-elements) of the discretized system. The analysis is performed in a canonical form as a convex optimization problem with quadratic constraints, in terms of discrete variables, and implemented using the Karnak.sGbem code coupled with the optimization toolbox by MatLab…

Gallium(III) and Indium(III) Complexes with meso-Monophosphorylated Porphyrins: Synthesis and Structure. A First Example of Dimers Formed by the Self…

2017

International audience; The synthesis and structural characterization, both in solution by means of H-1 and P-31 NMR and UV-vis spectroscopies and in the solid state by X-ray diffraction on single crystal, of a series of gallium(III) and indium(III) meso-mono(diethoxyphosphoryl)porphyrins bearing different peripheral substituents as well as the corresponding monoesters and phosphonic acids are reported. This work describes the first example of the X-ray structure of a self-assembled dimer formed via strong binding between the oxygen atom of the phosphonate substituent and the gallium(III) cations of adjacent porphyrin molecules [Ga-O = 1.9708(13) angstrom].

Reactivity of bis(cyclohexylammonium) 4-nitrophenylphosphate with SnMe3 Cl. X-ray structure of 4-NO2 C6 H4 PO4(SnMe3)2·H2 O

2014

The reaction of bis(cyclohexylammonium) 4-nitrophenylphosphate with Me3 SnCl (1:2) under reflux in ethanol yielded the title compound 4-NO2 C6 H4 PO4(SnMe3)2H2 O (1). The X-ray crystallographic analysis achieved on single crystals obtained by slow evaporation at room temperature revealed the formation of an unexpected supramolecular coordination network. The elementary building block can be viewed as two Me3 Sn moieties linked by a bridging 4-nitrophenylphosphate ligand. The two tin atoms are five-coordinated and describe a trans-Me3 SnO2 geometry in a trigonal bipyramidal arrangement. However, the Sn atoms are distinct, exhibiting two different environments. Thus, one is linked to two axia…

The first catalytic method for Heck alkynylation of unactivated aryl bromides (copper-free Sonogashira) in an ionic liquid: 1 mol-percent palladium/t…

2007

Herein we report the studies of Heck alkynylation (copper-free Sonogashira) with aryl halides (I, Br, Cl) employing various metallic precursors, tertiary phosphanes and bases in [BMIM][BF4] as the solvent. As a result, we provide the first method that allows the coupling of a large array of substrates, either activated or deactivated bromides in an ionic liquid. Furthermore, the system of highest efficiency is unexpectedly the simplest and cheaper combination that employs [Pd(η3-C3H5)Cl]2/PPh3 at only a 1 mol-% loading with pyrrolidine as the base and in the absence of a copper salt. The coupling of sterically and electronically deactivated bromides bearing different functional groups to ar…

The Copper-microRNA Pathway Is Integrated with Developmental and Environmental Stress Responses in Arabidopsis thaliana

2021

As an essential nutrient, copper (Cu) scarcity causes a decrease in agricultural production. Cu deficiency responses include the induction of several microRNAs, known as Cu-miRNAs, which are responsible for degrading mRNAs from abundant and dispensable cuproproteins to economize copper when scarce. Cu-miRNAs, such as miR398 and miR408 are conserved, as well as the signal transduction pathway to induce them under Cu deficiency. The Arabidopsis thaliana SQUAMOSA-PROMOTER BINDING PROTEIN-LIKE (SPL) family member SPL7 binds to the cis-regulatory motifs present in the promoter regions of genes expressed under Cu deficiency, including Cu-miRNAs. The expression of several other SPL transcription f…

Interactive Effects of Genotype and Molybdenum Supply on Yield and Overall Fruit Quality of Tomato

2019

Molybdenum (Mo) is an essential trace element for plant growth, development, and production. However, there is little known about the function and effects of molybdenum in tomato plants. The present study assessed the influences of different Mo concentrations on four tomato F1 hybrids (“Bybal” F1, “Tyty” F1, “Paride” F1, and “Ornela” F1) grown using a soilless system with different Mo levels [0.0, 0.5 (standard NS), 2.0, and 4.0 μmol L−1, respectively]. The crop yield, plant vigor, fruit skin color, TA, fruit water content as well as the accumulation of SSC, and some antioxidant compounds such as lycopene, polyphenols and ascorbic acid were evaluated. The minerals concentration, including n…

The first copper(I)-olefin complexes bearing a 1,3,4-oxadiazole core: Alternating-current electrochemical crystallization, X-ray experiment and DFT s…

2017

By means of alternating-current electrochemical technique, four new π-complexes, namely [Cu2(C11H10N2OS)2Br1.91Cl0.09] (1), [Cu(C11H10N2OS)NO3] (2), [Cu2(C11H10N2OS)2(H2O)2](BF4)2 (3) and [Cu2(C11H10N2OS)2(H2O)2](ClO4)2 (4), were obtained using copper(II) salts and the 2-(allylthio)-5-phenyl-1,3,4-oxadiazole (C11H10N2OS) ligand. The metal and halogen centers in 1 form Cu2X2 dimers; the N-atom from the oxadiazole ring and the Cdouble bond; length as m-dashC bond of the allyl group from the same ligand complete the copper coordination environment, giving [Cu(C11H10N2OS)X]2 isolated fragments. The ligand plays the same chelating role in 2, whereas the O (NO3) atom occupies the third position i…
