L’injonction participative au débat environnemental en ligne : Imaginaires d’Internet, démocratie environnementale et communication engageante
2013
What communication devices could be used to mobilize and assist citizens in eco-friendly consumption? How users will appropriate these devices and thus will participate to public discussions? Based on these functionalist issues, which are the core of an action research that we ‘re leading, we propose a critic study of participatory injunction. This injunction deals with Internet imaginary and sustainable development precepts.
The Escazú Agreement and the Regional Approach to Rio Principle 10: Process, Innovation, and Shortcomings
2019
Abstract The adoption in 2018 of the Escazú Agreement by the countries of the Latin American and Caribbean region marks the second regional legal instrument aimed at the implementation of Principle 10 of the 1992 Rio Declaration, joining the Aarhus Convention of the pan-European region. The international community has settled upon the regional level as the appropriate means for implementing standards related to access to information, public participation, and access to justice in environmental matters. The appropriateness of the regional level is demonstrated by the differences and innovations found in the Escazú Agreement, in its scope and definitions, background principles, burden of proo…

Causality-Aware Convolutional Neural Networks for Advanced Image Classification and Generation
2023
Smart manufacturing uses emerging deep learning models, and particularly Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) and Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), for different industrial diagnostics tasks, e.g., classification, detection, recognition, prediction, synthetic data generation, security, etc., on the basis of image data. In spite of being efficient for these objectives, the majority of current deep learning models lack interpretability and explainability. They can discover features hidden within input data together with their mutual co-occurrence. However, they are weak at discovering and making explicit hidden causalities between the features, which could be the reason behind the parti…
Ympäristönsuojelulaki vuotaa: turvekiista tunnustuskamppailuna
2023
The state-of-the-art of collaborative technologies for initial vocational education : a systematic literature review
2018

Future workplaces require collaboration skills in which members of different work communities use technologies to solve complex problems. Vocational education and training (VET) programs need to meet the challenge to prepare students to be part of a competent workforce. Particularly initial vocational education is under pressure to develop learners’ collaboration skills and abilities. To date, however, no attempt has been made to perform a comprehensive review of the use of computer-supported collaborative learning (CSCL) technologies across different vocational education settings to account for contextual factors of VET. In this systematic review, 26 published studies …
Personal Social Networks of Community-Dwelling Oldest Old During the Covid-19 Pandemic—A Qualitative Study
2021
The COVID-19 pandemic and its related restrictions have affected the everyday life of older people. Advanced age is a significant predisposing factor for a more severe COVID-19 infection, increasing the risk for hospitalization and mortality. Even though restrictions have been, thus, well-grounded, they may also have had detrimental effects on the social well-being of older people. Personal networks and social activity are known protective factors against the premature decline in health and functioning, and it is widely acknowledged that social isolation increases feelings of loneliness, poor quality of life, and even the risk for diseases and disabilities among older adults. This qualitati…
Towards a New System for the Assessment of the Quality in Care Pathways: An Overview of Systematic Reviews.
2020
Clinical or care pathways are developed by a multidisciplinary team of healthcare practitioners, based on clinical evidence, and standardized processes. The evaluation of their framework/content quality is unclear. The aim of this study was to describe which tools and domains are able to critically evaluate the quality of clinical/care pathways. An overview of systematic reviews was conducted, according to Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses, using Medline, Embase, Science Citation Index, PsychInfo, CINAHL, and Cochrane Library, from 2015 to 2020, and with snowballing methods. The quality of the reviews was assessed with Assessment the Methodology of Systemati…
