Myasthenia gravis (MG) is an autoimmune neuromuscular disease characterized by fluctuating weakness of the skeletal muscles. Although antibodies against the neuromuscular junction components are recognized, the MG pathogenesis remains unclear, even if with a well-known multifactorial character. However, the perturbations of human microbiota have been recently suggested to contribute to MG pathogenesis and clinical course. Background: Complex regional pain syndrome is a painful and disabling post-traumatic primary pain disorder. Acute and chronic complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) are major clinical challenges. In Europe, progress is hampered by significant heterogeneity in clinical practice. We sought to establish standards for the diagnosis and management of CRPS. Methods: The European Pain Federation established a pan-European task force of experts in CRPS who followed a four-stage consensus challenge process to produce mandatory quality standards worded as grammatically imperative (must-do) statements. A father’s mental health is important for family well-being, but research is scarce on paternal symptoms during the transition to fatherhood. This study identified fathers’ latent mental health trajectory classes from the pre- to postnatal period and examined their associations with early fathering experiences. Background We studied the combined effects of cognitive performance and lower extremity function on self-reported walking modifications and walking difficulty and on self-reported walking difficulty incidence over a 2-year follow-up. Methods A total of 848 community-dwelling older people aged 75-90 years participated at baseline, 816 at the 1-year follow-up, and 761 at the 2-year follow-up. Anotācija Pētījuma mērķis bija izpētīt sakarības starp stresa pārvarēšanas pašefektivitāti, pārliecību par taisnīgu pasauli, darba zaudējuma kognitīvā novērtējuma dimensijām, sociāldemogrāfiskajiem faktoriem un depresiju 209 bezdarbnieku izlasē vecumā no 45 - 61 gadiem, un pārbaudīt, vai pastāv atšķirības pārliecību sistēmā starp bezdarbnieku grupu ar un bez depresijas simptomiem. Rezultāti parāda, ka respondentu grupām ar un bez depresijas pārliecības un kognitīvais novērtējums atšķiras . 42% no depresijas variācijas izskaidro attiecību statuss, kognitīvais zaudējuma novērtējums, personīgā pārliecība par taisnīgu pasauli un stresa pārvarēšanas pašefektivitāte. Objectives This paper introduces a new diagnostically oriented screening scale for anxiety disorders, the Center for Epidemiologic Studies Anxiety scale (CESA), designed in parallel to the revised Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression scale (CESD-R). In this study, the CESA was used as a diagnostic screening tool for detecting the presence of anxiety disorder symptomatology ascertained by a clinical psychiatric evaluation based on the DSM-5 criteria.
