L’article analitza el tractament de la figura de l’autor real en els reculls de narracions de Jordi Sarsanedas. En el primer, «Mites», el prefaci auctorial ha estat interpretat en clau autobiogràfica, a pesar de l’absència de marques explícites, de la ficcionalització amb què s’hi elaboren alguns dels elements i de l’enunciació a càrrec d’un jo que es projecta fantasmagòricament en els narradors autodiegètics de les narracions de ficció. El diagnóstico precoz y la estratificación de los pacientes con sepsis de forma precoz podría mejorar los resultados de la sepsis porque permitiría un inicio más específico y adecuado de su tratamiento. El objetivo fue identificar biomarcadores mediante un estudio metabolómico de sepsis en orina y sangre utilizando espectroscopía 1H RMN para evaluar la gravedad y predecir el pronóstico. Las muestras de sangre y orina se recogieron en 67 pacientes con sepsis grave o shock séptico en la UCI y se obtuvieron espectros mediante 1H RMN. NADPH oxidases are major sources of superoxide in the vascular wall. This study investigates the role of protein kinase C (PKC) in regulating gene expression of NADPH oxidases. Treatment of human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) and HUVEC-derived EA.hy 926 endothelial cells with phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate (PMA) or phorbol 12,13-dibutyrate led to a PKC-dependent biphasic expression of the gp91phox homolog Nox4. A downregulation of Nox4 was observed at 6 h and an upregulation at 48 h after phorbol ester treatment. In primary human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs), incubation with phorbol-12-myristate-13-acetate (PMA) enhanced basal and bradykinin-stimulated nitric oxide production. In the HUVEC-derived cell line EA.hy 926, PMA and phorbol-12,13-dibutyrate stimulated endothelial nitric oxide synthase (NOS III) mRNA expression in a concentration- and time-dependent manner. Maximal mRNA expression (3.3-fold increase) was observed after 18 hr. NOS III protein and activity were increased to a similar extent. Bakalaura darba „Virdžīnijas Hendersones teorijas pielietojums epilepsijas pacientu aprūpē” mērķis ir izpētīt kā tiek pielietota teorija praksē. Darbā tiek analizēta V. Hendersones pamatvajadzību teorija, veidojot pētījuma teorētisko pamatojumu. Teorētiskajā daļā sniegts ieskats par epilepsiju, māsas lomu un aprūpi. Pētījuma veikšanai izmantota kvalitatīvā pētniecības metode, kā arī atspoguļoti pētījumā iegūtie rezultāti, tādējādi izsakot galvenos secinājumus, vadoties pēc tiem izteikti ieteikumi. Zinātniski pētnieciskā darba izvirzītie uzdevumi izpildīti un darba ieguvums – atziņa, ka teorija epilepsijas pacientu aprūpē pielietota neapzināti.

This qualitative case study aimed to explore environmental circumstances and inter-actional processes that appeared to be relevant for the dynamics of resilience in ado-lescents exposed to child abuse. Fieldwork at a learning and coping centre forchildren and their families was combined with semi-structured interviews with ado-lescent participants aged 12 to 18 years. Ethical realism before social constructionism

In this article, I explore the idea that there is a fundamental ethical aspect that precedes social constructionism. I suggest that within social constructionism we can identify a development from seeing knowledge as socially constructed ( epistemological social constructionism) to seeing not only knowledge, but also corporeal ways of being as socially constructed ( ontological social constructionism). As a next step, I propose incorporating what I refer to as ethical realism in social constructionist perspectives.
