Factors affecting Nigerian teacher educators’ technology integration : Considering characteristics, knowledge constructs, ICT practices and beliefs

Impulsive control of the bilinear Schrödinger equation: propagators and attainable sets

International audience; We consider a linear Schrödinger equation with an unbounded bilinear control term. The control term is the derivative of function with bounded variations (impulsive control). Well-posedness results and regularity of the associated propagators follow from classical theory from Kato. As a byproduct, one obtains a topological obstruction to exact controllability of the system in the spirit of the results of Ball, Marsden and Slemrod.

This paper reports the application of artificial neural networks for estimating reference evapotranspiration (ETo) as a function of local maximum and minimum air temperatures and exogenous relative humidity and evapotranspiration in twelve coastal locations of the autonomous Valencia region, Spain. Determination of kinetic parameters of redox reactions using CE‐ICP‐MS: A case study for the reduction of Np(V) by hydroxylamine hydrochloride

The rate constants k of the reduction of 5 × 10-5  M Np(V) to Np(IV) by hydroxylamine hydrochloride (HAHCl) in 1 M HCl have been determined by CE-ICP-MS in the temperature range of ϑ = 30-70°C and with varying concentrations of HAHCl from 1 to 7.2 M. The reaction was found to have (pseudo)first order kinetics with respect to HAHCl. The experimental results for k ranged from 0.0029(1) min-1 (ϑ = 40°C, c(HAHCl) = 3 M) to 0.039(7) min-1 (ϑ = 60°C, c(HAHCl) = 7.2 M). The activation energy of the reaction was determined as EA  = (72 ± 10) kJ/mol. Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the associations among measured physical fitness, perceived fitness, intention towards future physical activity and self-reported physical activity through junior high school years. Methods: Study participants included 122 Finnish students who were 13 years old during Grade 7. The sample was comprised of 80 girls and 42 boys from 3 junior high schools (Grades 7-9). The aim is to study the influence of two different learning approaches in the quality of generated simulations. Blow-up collocation solutions of nonlinear homogeneous Volterra integral equations

In this paper, collocation methods are used for detecting blow-up solutions of nonlinear homogeneous Volterra-Hammerstein integral equations. To do this, we introduce the concept of "blow-up collocation solution" and analyze numerically some blow-up time estimates using collocation methods in particular examples where previous results about existence and uniqueness can be applied. Finally, we discuss the relationships between necessary conditions for blow-up of collocation solutions and exact solutions.

Radial Basis Functions have traditionally been used to provide a continuous interpolation of scattered data sets. However, this interpolation also allows for the reconstruction of partial derivatives throughout the solution field, which can then be used to drive the solution of a partial differential equation. Since the interpolation takes place on a scattered dataset with no local connectivity, the solution is essentially meshless. Abstract In this article, we present a thorough numerical comparison between unsymmetric and symmetric radial basis function collocation methods for the numerical solution of boundary value problems for partial differential equations. A series of test examples was solved with these two schemes, different problems with different type of governing equations, and boundary conditions.
