Prediction of the next value of a function

The following model of inductive inference is considered. Arbitrary set tau = {tau_1, tau_2, ..., tau_n} of n total functions N->N is fixed. A "black box" outputs the values f(0), f(1), ..., f(m), ... of some function f from the set tau. Processing these values by some algorithm (a strategy) we try to predict f(m+1) from f(0), f(1), ..., f(m). Upper and lower bounds for average error numbers are obtained for prediction by using deterministic and probabilistic strategies.

Darbs ir uzrakstīts angļu valodā uz 93 lapaspusēm. Tas satur 49 attēlus, 24 tabulas un 95 atsauces uz literatūras avotiem. Šī darba mērķis ir pārbaudīt, vai virskorekcija ir derīga metode tuvredzības progresēšanas novērtēšanai ortokeratoloģijā. Hipotēze ir atrast lielākas izmaiņas gados jaunākiem pacientiem nekā pieaugušajiem, kā tas ir norādīts literatūrā. Pētījumā iekļauti 192 Eiropeīdās rases subjekti vecumā no 6 līdz 56 gadiem (vidēji 19,61±10,30). La Revolución francesa de 1789 fue el escenario donde se libró una lucha abierta entre dos concepciones de la libertad y sus respectivas repercusiones en la concepción del poder político: la libertad particular que el individuo reclama para sí al margen del Estado, e incluso contra él, y la libertad del ciudadano, entendida como la libertad de obedecer a la voluntad general. El objetivo de este ensayo es perfilar, en líneas generales, la posición que adoptó el jacobinismo con respecto a la relación entre sociedad civil y Estado, en confrontación con el enfoque liberal que, siguiendo los modelos americano e inglés, propugnaron los sectores moderados de la Revolución.

Celem rozdziału jest wyjaśnienie, w jakiej mierze polityka Izraela wobec jego wrogów inspirowała amerykańskie zmagania w ramach tzw. wojny z terrorem. Autorzy skupiają się na trzech obszarach - torturach, administracyjnych zatrzymaniach i tzw. celowanych zabójstwach. Wszystkie one uznano za legalne w systemach prawnych izraelskim i amerykańskim, podczas gdy są one zakazane przez prawo międzynarodowe, w tym konwencje genewskie. Amerykanie po zamachach z 11 września 2001 roku poszli w ślady państwa żydowskiego w tych kwestiach. Izrael, państwo, które od lat otrzymuje wielkie wsparcie ze Stanów Zjednoczonych, wskazał tym drugim sposoby radzenia sobie z terroryzmem.
