On 21 January 2022 the French Constitutional Council issued a ruling on the constitutionality of the law which aimed to make the access to a very large number of places subject to a vaccine pass. Firstly, the essay illustrates the main points of the ruling with a particular focus on the legal criteria which constituted the parameters used by the French Constitutional Council, including a short explanation of the legal provisions rejected. Temporizing and Essentializing the Enemy : A Logological Reading of Finnish Lutheran Clerical War Rhetoric

This article looks at the shift between logical and temporal vocabularies, called by Kenneth Burke the temporizing of essence. It combines “logology” with a rhetorical analysis of how it was applied in a concrete historical situation as a means of persuasion. First, I discuss Burke’s logology, which is the theory underlying the idea of temporized essence. Second, I turn to the notion in relation to its two main forms, origins and fruition; third, Finnish clerical rhetoric during the Continuation War 1941–44 will be analyzed using ideas drawn on logology. peerReviewed

Essence : Reference Architecture for Software Engineering - Representing Essence in Archimate Notation

Essence is a standard for working with methods in software engineering. As such, it can be seen as the reference architecture for software engineering. The Essence consists of the Kernel, and a notation called the Language. This representation is not widely known and likely hinders the adoption of the Essence. This paper represents the work-in-progress of representing the Essence using ArchiMate, the de facto notation for enterprise architecture. Our purpose is to help organisations to adopt Essence by representing it in the language already understood by different stakeholders. peerReviewed
