Few studies have examined the self-perceptions of autistic adults. This study aimed firstly to investigate domain-specific self-concepts and global self-esteem in autistic adults. The second aim was to examine associations between autism self-appraisals, perceived social support and global self-concept and self-esteem. The third was to determine which domains of self-concept were most closely associated with self-esteem. The present study examines the prevalence of loneliness and positive mental health indicators (mental well-being and self-esteem) in four Nordic countries and associations between loneliness, mental well-being, and high self-esteem. Student Engagement and School Burnout in Finnish Lower-Secondary Schools: Latent Profile Analysis

Self-ratings of behavioural engagement, cognitive engagement and school burnout were used in person-centred analyses to identify latent profiles among 2,485 Finnish lower-secondary school students. Three profiles were identified: high-engagement/low-burnout (40.6% of the sample), average-engagement/average-burnout (53.9%), and low-engagement/high-burnout (5.5%). Another sample of lower-secondary school students was used to validate the 3 profiles. Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot, kāda saistība pastāv starp pašcieņu, līdzjūtību pret sevi un psiholoģisko labklājību. Pētījumā piedalījās 65 dalībnieki vecumā no 18 līdz 26 gadiem, no tiem 50 sievietes un 15 vīrieši. Tika izmantotas šādas skalas: Rozenberga pašcieņas aptauja (Rosenberg, 1965), Iejūtības pret sevi skala (Neff, 2003), Psiholoģiskās labklājības skala (Riff, 1989). Lai noskaidrotu pētāmo konstruktu saistību, tika izmantots Spīrmena korelācijas koeficients. Objective: To assess self-esteem and depression in patients submitted for orthognathic surgery. Methods: Assessment was realized on 29 patients, male and female, aged 17 to 46, presenting Angle Class III malocclusion and referred for surgical treatment, during the preoperative (orthodontic preparation) and postoperative (six-month postoperative) periods.
