Niniejszy tekst przedstawia wyniki analizy jakościowej i ilościowej wybranych materiałów edukacyjnych (podręczniki do nauki języka angielskiego). Analiza, dokonana przy użyciu aparatu pojęciowego pedagogiki krytycznej, dotyczyła sposobu prezentacji kwestii związanych z etnicznością, a jej celem była ocena badanego materiału pod kątem wzmacniania bądź minimalizowania stereotypów etnicznych oraz stopnia, w jakim podejście autorów/ek nacechowane jest podejściem europocentrycznym. W konkluzji pracy autorka zaznacza tendencję do przedstawiania w wybranych podręcznikach etniczności w sposób uproszczony i stereotypowy, co może zakłócać proces nabywania umiejętności międzykulturowych.

The aim of the study is to learn about intercultural communication experiences of foreign Exchange and Master degree students in Jyväskylä, Finland with a particular attention to the perspective of national, cultural and ethnic identity concepts. The study is qualitative in nature. At a time when the Saami ethnic minority got little attention by the Norwegian public and the political authorities of the country, sociologists did much to raise public awareness about the conditions of this ethnic minority. In the postwar period of the 1950s and 1960s, sociologists of Norway focused to a large degree on social groups that fell outside the emerging welfare state. AbstractThis paper discusses the complex relationship between material culture and gender studies from a methodological point of view, with the aim of contributing to discussions in the field of Classical archaeology. First, we provide a few historiographical benchmarks for key epistemological developments, while evidencing the methodological difficulties inherent in the variability of our interpretations of burial practices and data. Then, in a second section, a case study focuses on simple objects of daily life.
