The aim of this article is to show public diplomacy using the example of the European Union, which by its very nature is perceived as an actor with a natural potential to conduct public diplomacy. In a more detailed perspective, the analysis concerns EU public diplomacy towards the states of the Eastern Partnership, which is both an addressee of its objectives and a catalyst for its difficulties and constraints. In this article, we scrutinize the use and institutionalization of the concept of ‘dialogue’ in the cultural politics of the European Union. Our focus is on how dialogue is understood in the context of the European Union’s flagship heritage action, the European Heritage Label, that aims to strengthen citizens’ sense of belonging to the Union. Euroization, understood as the expansion of the euro, the currency performing most or all functions of money in international trade, raises many questions and controversies both in the public debate and in the scienti!c discourse. The article tackles the issue of digital contents’ regulation after the death of their owner, starting from the scope and content of «digital succession». It continues with the task of determining the regulatory framework concerning the devolution of both economic assets and personal or family memories stored on the Internet, under Italian Law of Succession and EU Regulation n. 650/2012 on European Certificate of Succession. El proyecto Europeana Regia tiene como objetivo crear un corpus europeo de manuscritos digitalizados, testimonios de la circulación de los textos y corrientes artísticas en Europa durante la Edad Media y el Renacimiento. Para ello, se han seleccionado tres colecciones, actualmente dispersas en varios países, que representan momentos clave en la historia política, cultural y artística de Europa.
