Pro gradu – tutkielmassa selvitetään, voiko öljyvärimaalausvarkauksien perusteella tehdä samanlaista johtopäätöstä. Vaikuttaako taiteilijan arvostuksen lisääntyminen taidemarkkinoilla varastettujen teosten määrään? Ongelmaan on vastattu poikkitieteellisestä näkökulmasta. Käytetyt tutkimusmenetelmät ovat tilastotiede, haastattelututkimus, historiantutkimus ja hermeneuttinen tutkimus. Maģistra darbs sniedz ieskatu LPSR iedzīvotāju darbībās 1956.-1959. gadā, kas pēc teorijas var tikt saistītas ar nevardarbīgo pretošanos. Pētījuma mērķis ir raksturot un analizēt Latvijas PSR iedzīvotāju nevardarbīgo pretošanos padomju režīmam no 1956. līdz 1959. gadam, izmantojot VDK ziņojumus Ministru Padomei un Rīgas pilsētas partijas komitejai. Darba teorētiskajās nodaļās tiek apskatītas teorijas par nevardarbīgo pretošanos, kā arī svarīgākie notikumi PSRS un LPSR. Pētījumā tiek analizēts nevardarbīgo noziegumu skaits un veids, tiek aprakstīti nevardarbīgās pretošanās veicēji un viņu motivācija, kā arī izpētīti piespriestie soda veidi.
