Osteonecrosis of the jaw (ONJ) drug related is an uncommon but serious and debilitating disease, whose epidemiology and pathogenesis are still unclear. However, in the recent years, knowledge regarding ONJ risk factors has lead to substantial progress in ONJ prevention. Anti-resorptive medicines (e.g. bisphosphonates, denosumab) and anti-angiogenic medicines (e.g bevacizumab, sunitinib) are being used in the treatment of various cancers and in the treatment of several non-oncological conditions, mainly for the osteoporosis. Objective Some cognitive models of obsessive‐compulsive disorder (OCD) posit that intrusions exist on a continuum with obsessions; others consider that they may be unrelated phenomena that differ in the context where they occur. We aimed to examine and compare, at two different moments, the context of the occurrence of intrusions and obsessions. Method Sixty‐eight patients with OCD completed an interview appraising their most upsetting obsession and intrusion. Abstract Knowledge of how destination marketing organisations (DMOs) use Twitter is still limited. This study aimed to assess how DMOs' Twitter activity affects hotel occupancy in short-break holidays. Key dimensions of Twitter that may affect hotel occupancy in tourist destinations were first identified. A longitudinal study using data for 10 Spanish DMOs was conducted to forecast hotel occupancy. Twitter application programming interfaces were used to gather data on tweets by DMOs and retweets and likes by users. Método: Estudio cualitativo exploratorio-descriptivo con entrevistas en profundidad realizado en 2006. Ocean warming is altering the biogeographical distribution of marine organisms. In the tropics, rising sea surface temperatures are restructuring coral reef communities with sensitive species being lost. At the biogeographical divide between temperate and tropical communities, warming is causing macroalgal forest loss and the spread of tropical corals, fishes and other species, termed “tropicalization”. A lack of field research into the combined effects of warming and ocean acidification means there is a gap in our ability to understand and plan for changes in coastal ecosystems. Insights fromsodium into the impacts of elevated pCO2 and temperature on bivalve shell formation

Ocean acidification and warming are predicted to affect the ability of marine bivalves to build their shells, but little is known about the underlying mechanisms. Shell formation is an extremely complex process requiring a detailed understanding of biomineralization processes. Sodium incorporation into the shells would increase if bivalves rely on the exchange of Na+/H+ to maintain homeostasis for shell formation, thereby shedding new light on the acid-base and ionic regulation at the calcifying front. Increasing atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration alters the chemistry of the oceans towards more acidic conditions. Polar oceans are particularly affected due to their low temperature, low carbonate content and mixing patterns, for instance upwellings. Calcifying organisms are expected to be highly impacted by the decrease in the oceans' pH and carbonate ions concentration. Seawater carbonate chemistry and percentage cover of macroalgal species at three locations at Vulcano, Italy

Beneficial effects of CO2 on photosynthetic organisms will be a key driver of ecosystem change under ocean acidification. Predicting the responses of macroalgal species to ocean acidification is complex, but we demonstrate that the response of assemblages to elevated CO2 are correlated with inorganic carbon physiology. We assessed abundance patterns and a proxy for CO2:HCO3- use (delta 13C values) of macroalgae along a gradient of CO2 at a volcanic seep, and examined how shifts in species abundance at other Mediterranean seeps are related to macroalgal inorganic carbon physiology.
